Collects current symptoms, as well as a detailed patient history and then consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
Manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the attending physician is available, based upon nursing standards and protocol
Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse
Cleans and bandages wounds, Provides basic, bedside care
Maintains proper supplies and appropriate medical equipment to care for patients
Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, self-administration of medication and rehabilitation, as well as provides referrals to other healthcare professionals for follow-up treatment
Displays professionalism while completing multiple urgent tasks in a timely manner
Provide nursing skill care to the patient as per the care plan such as; bathing, changing clothes, brushing of teeth and cleaning of dentures, toileting and other elimination needs and simple hair care, skin care, nails.
Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration and temperature and communicates with the physician regarding the patient’s needs and report any changes in the patient’s condition on a regular basis.
Support/ assist with activities of daily living and other personal care tasks including lifting, transferring and positioning of clients, assisting with oral and/ or tube feeding, simple wood dressing.
Support/ assistance with medication including; medication reminders and monitoring of medication compliance.
Perform simple maintenance exercises as prescribed and trained by registered Healthcare
Provided Care for patient which need close monitoring by applying JCI standard and optimal patient Care Assume accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care as well as discharge planning
for each patient.
Contribute to decreasing the length of stay/waiting time as per unit specific goal.
Work in collaboration with Case Management to achieve goals.
Demonstrate collaborative multi-disciplinary partnerships working towards the achievements
of constant improvement in quality patient care.
Act as an advocate for patients and families.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician or according to established policies and protocols such as right dose, right medication, right patient, right time, proper documentation and explanation to the patient regarding the action and side effects of each prescribed medication.
• Record the initial assessment and data gathered in the patient’s chart.
• Monitor patient’s vital signs and promptly refer to the physician any unusual findings - Heart Rate
and Rhythm, Blood Pressure, Central Venous Pressure, Intracranial Pressure, Respiratory Rate,
Oxygen Saturation
• Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment common in intensive care unit such as
Continuous non-invasive vital signs monitor machine, Infusion control devices, Suction machine,
Cardiac monitor, Pulse oximeter, ECG Machine, Defibrillator and Glucometer.
• Assist in CV line insertion, Thoracostomy & Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, endotracheal tube
insertion; do suctioning in endotracheal and tracheostomy tube.
• Assessing elder’s cognitive abilities, evaluating a patient’s acute or chronic condition, educating
patients on ways to prevent falls or injuries, organizing medications, linking patients with community resources, watching for signs of elder abuse, helping patients with daily grooming needs, and giving advice on disability-related problems
