● Working with a leading Manufacturer and Exporter of Primary / Secondary Carpet backing, Artificial grass tufting, Yarns, Polypropylene Staple Fiber and Non-woven Geotextile products in Saudi Arabia, All these products are ideal in carpet industry, sports and leisure, Non-woven geotextile are ideal for most applications where separation, filtration and draining is required. Road works, access roads, railway applications, car parks and industrial units etc.
● Handling and monitoring all 3 Factories - Mattex Geo - Jubail, Mattex Fabrics - Jeddah and Green Vision - Jeddah while based in Jeddah, looking after Import / Export and local shipments end to end for the above products, raw materials and spare parts (Air, Sea & Land) from Jubail / Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to USA, Europe, Oceania, Africa, Asia & Far East and vice-versa.
● Responsible, monitoring and budgeting all project shipments related to logistics.
● Arranging tenders, RFQ and managing & negotiating most competitive Transportation Rates - Ocean/Air and Land with Local / GCC Freight Forwarders/ fleet operators / Transporters, and their representatives for Local and Export Ocean/Air and Land transportation.
● Planning and arranging for stuffing goods, based on GRD (Goods Readiness date), managing shipping and custom clearing activities.
● Participating in development of BI reports along with INFOR ERP team to improve day to day reports.
● Executing and managing Custom Duty Exemption filing, interacting with respective department in gathering required info to obtain exemptions.
● Successfully Obtain Duty Exemption resulting in milestone achievment (saving millions of Duty amount adding to the company profit) by obtaining complete Production Capacity of required Raw materials and Spare parts
● Interaction with Sales, Finance and production to guideline in preparation of Letter of Credit shipments.
● Managing Custom clearance providers for respective mode of transportation.
● Preparation of logistic budget based on sales forecast region wise.
● Managing proper shipping documentation to make sure import / export custom clearance runs smoothly without any hurdle or delay.
● Responsible for analyzing service level and cost (Air, Sea & Land) with existing service providers / Forwarding Agents, Custom clearing agents, recommending carriers and routing; to obtain the best rates and transit time to export consignments, competing with current market.
● Verifying service provider invoices based on agreed contract rates to arrange payment.
● Responsible to guide Sales Department in relation to the INCO term (Air, Sea & Land), technically with explanation to develop strong business and obtain opportunities.
● Organizing meeting with forwarding agent, custom clearing agent for proper documentation and follow up, suggesting for smooth clearance.
● Managing team, arranging monthly meeting and monitoring on demurrages / discrepancies (if any) to overcome the problem.
● Managing training for new employees - right from the documentation to end of shipping requirement.
● Managing internal reports, analyzing on statistical reports and working out total costing until landing.
● Reporting directly to SBUD (Sales Business Unit Director) and Director Group Supply Chain.
