• Reporting to the Communications & PR Director, I contribute to developing the Communications Department’s strategy by providing recommendations & plans for activities/programs in accordance with QFZA’s corporate and strategic objectives
• I manage press/media relations and content development for external & internal communications at QFZA. External communications include producing content, publishing and monitoring all press releases with local & international press, TV & other media, management discussion points and speeches, in addition to media relations. Internal communications include managing & developing content for internal newsletter and daily news digest.
• Reporting to the CEO of Silatech Foundation - one of HH international organizations responsible for youth empowerment and development around the world, I have been responsible of developing and managing strategies and plans for communications campaigns and activities for Silatech.
• In addition, I am also responsible of maintaining strong relationships with key external and internal stakeholders in the process of making sure that our stories and content are always maintained and up to date, and in consistence with Silatech’s objectives and mission.
• I also manage and develop content for internal and external communications including local, regional and international media relations.

• • As a Communications and Branding Manager at Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail and reporting to the Director of Communications & Marketing, I am responsible of planning, budgeting for and managing a section with a wide range of Communications, Branding and Advertising strategies and programs both at the corporate as well as at the projects level, this is in addition to managing an Advertising and PR agency. I also, plan and manage state of the art External and Internal Communications programs and activities.
• I had the pleasure to manage and lead the process of developing the operational brands of Qatar Rail; Doha Metro and Lusail Tram in addition to the enhancement of Qatar Rail’s corporate identity, part of this exercise was developing the signage branding for the trains and stations of Metro and Tram.
• In addition, we have managed, developed and delivered communications guidelines to stakeholders including JV Contractors and PMCs such as construction sites signage, templates, road diversions communications, and joined events and made sure that they are followed as per Qatar Rail’s communications guidelines.
• Furthermore, I have developed strategy, policy and processes of the department since joining Qatar Rail, during that period I was Acting Communications & Marketing Director as well for two years. www.qr.com.qa
• Canar was the Fixed Line and Internet services provider in Sudan and a subsidiary of Emirates Telecommunication Corporation (Etisalat Group).
• Had the privilege of joining Canar Telecommunication Co. Ltd. during the establishment phase in 2005.
• As the Manager of Corporate Communications and reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, I was responsible of strategizing and managing the section and my responsibilities included managing a team of Corporate Communications and Marketing senior specialists and executives, this is in addition to managing an advertising agency.
• I also developed processes, annual plans, budgeting and managed External and Internal Communications projects and initiatives. Such initiatives and projects fell within the scope of Press & Media Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Crisis & Reputation Management, Sponsorships, Promoting & Advertising products and services, turnkey Exhibitions & Conferences (ITU Telecom, Gitex & others), Corporate/Launch Events, Corporate Films & Speeches, in addition to Publications (external & internal) and managing Online/Direct Marketing initiatives.
• The objective of the Corporate Communications section in Canar was to manage and maintain external & internal communications programs and activities with the aim of promoting the company’s image, brand and reputation positively both internally and externally and in accordance with the corporate strategy.

• • Reporting to the Country General Manager, I was responsible for managing PR and Media Relations within the Marketing Department in HUMANSOFT - UAE (www.human-soft.com). Humansoft, is the mother company for New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, Thomson NetG, E-Learning, Humasoft Career Development and Direct English.
• Main responsibility was to strategize on developing budget, annual PR plans and activities.
• I also managed all HumanSoft’s press and media relations campaigns and activities coordinating with local and regional news chief editors and editors of publications and online/direct marketing projects.
• I have also managed press conferences and events and participated in exhibitions such as “Gitex” and “UAE Universities’ Employment Fairs” among others.
• All press and media relations activities were executed directly without agency involvement.
Project: Promotion of Intellectual Property Protection in Traditional Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Egypt
• I was commissioned by WIPO - United Nations, Geneva to research and promote Intellectual Property Protection in SMEs in Egypt that work in the field of manufacturing traditional products. Responsibilities included, conducting a study on the status of
implementing intellectual property in protecting traditional products, and manage promotional activities and awareness meetings for owners of SMEs’ traditional industries.
• I also compiled a list of all SMEs working in the sector, provided advice and consultation on methods of application for such intellectual property protection along with benefits from the commercial, economic and technological stand points.
• A report was compiled and submitted to WIPO by the end of August 2000, which included all findings, conclusions and recommendations to both WIPO and the Government of Egypt.
• As Senior Researcher/SME Development Specialist in the Socio-Economic Development and Research Department at Environmental Quality International (EQI) - the leading development consultancy in Egypt, I have acquired an extensive experience in projects such as micro finance, Small and Micro/Medium Enterprises (SME/SMEs) Development, socio-economic development, market/marketing research, tourism and environment protection projects.
• I conducted desktop and field research undertaking research design, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis in addition to surveys. I was also committed to supervisory responsibilities, training and development, planning, evaluation and report production.
