• Plan and manage MEP systems: Develop a comprehensive plan for the design, installation, and commissioning of MEP systems. Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Budget and cost control: Prepare and manage the MEP budget, including cost estimation, forecasting, and tracking. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering initiatives.
• Coordinate with stakeholders: Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless coordination of MEP activities. Review designs, resolve conflicts, and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Quality assurance: Ensure that MEP installations meet quality standards and adhere to project specifications. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Schedule management: Develop and maintain the MEP schedule, including procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning. Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays.
• Risk management: Identify potential risks related to MEP systems and develop mitigation strategies. Implement safety measures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Change management: Evaluate proposed changes to MEP systems and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and quality. Coordinate with the project manager and director to manage change orders effectively.
• Team management: Lead the MEP team, including MEP engineers, supervisors, and technicians. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-performance levels.
• Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate records of MEP activities, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence. Prepare regular progress reports and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Continuous improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in MEP systems. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions.
