•Identifying operational requirements, making models with system.
•Support multiple nuclear plant projects including construction & operating license applications, design engineering, environmental services, project management, modification support services, system performance assessments, studies & systems upgrading.
• Analysis of electrical design specifications and technical drawings according with Engineering and system requirements.
• Making sure all electrical engineering projects are fit for purpose.
• Plane and scheduling of modification, new installation, & preventive maintenances of electrical system/equipments.
• Liaising with and monitoring third party/ contractors.
• Planned, drafted, executed, maintained and improved electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components and systems.
• Examined installations and observed operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications, and provided technical assistance to field personnel in the areas of high voltage distribution equipment and high voltage motors/generators.
• Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Company’s & IAEA regulations.
• Provides leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members. Provides advanced technical advice to staff. Assists with supervision of staff on major projects.
• Preparation of commissioning procedure of the electrical systems.
• Verification of control points of electrical system & equipments.
• Participation in commissioning of 220Kv GIS & transformer 132Kv GIS & transformers and its control system (CT, PT, A.V.R, Surge arrester, Circuit breaker, Isolator etc). Gas insulated sub stations.
• Verify the testing procedure of the electrical systems.
• Coordinating in Testing of Main substation, T/F winding & oil high alarm test, contact Opening closing test, fire water system test, Protection relay test, window alarm test, leakage current test. Breaker failure protection test. Bus bar Protection test. Stub Protection test. Line protection test. Over current& earth fault Protection test.
• Preparation of operating procedure of the electrical systems.
• Co-ordination in issuing of work permits of the systems.
• Controls and maintains electric generating units to produce the electric power for distribution /supply electric power for plant equipment.
• Perform periodic tests, hot restart test, fast mode test, slow mode, and Endurance test of EDG.
• Energize & de-energize of 132/6.6kv 50 MVA Transformer, on load tap Changer.
• Energize & de-energize of 220kv/132kv/20kv/6.6kv electrical systems.
• Energize & de-energize of 20/6.6kv 50 MVA Transformer, on load tap Changer.
• Provision of Electrical isolation for the Maintenance the equipment & its system.
• Preparation of operating procedure of the electrical systems.
