Review of the monthly financial report of the companies in the group.
- To ascertain that accounts have been prepared based on the underlying records of the companies.

a. Review of operations of the companies within the group
- Analysis of operations and transactions to identify any area of inefficiency, ineffectiveness and uneconomic
spending adopting 3E approach.
- Ensuring that each operation is delivered effectively and efficiently.
3. Group Risk Assessment
a. Stipulating relevant audit approach for the companies within the group
- This is key as the companies within the group pose unique threats and risk.
- Identifying areas of risk mitigation within the companies in the group.
4. Group Performance Measurement
- Developing performance measurement techniques to measure and appraise group performance
- Identifying financial and non financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to each companies critical
success factors (CSF) that are aligned to company and group objective.
- Appraisal of Transfer values and compensation within companies in the groups.
- Holding brainstorming sessions with group heads to best manage the group for best performance and quality
control
5. Investigation needs of the Group and independent internal appraisal.
6. Establishing, appraising and implementation of Internal Control procedures for each function.

- Review of each months bank reconciliation of the company
- Identification of extraneous items on the bank statement prior to preparation of monthly lodgment report.
- Ensuring that payments for products have been duly made in the bank.
- Handling debtors, creditors and stock reconciliation in the company.
g. Month end Reports and Checks
- Review of companies imprest record
- Spot checks of cash and stock
- Month end stock taking exercise
