Responsibilities and skills can performed in my present work:
I) As Radiology nurse Covering CT, MRI, and Fluoroscopy:
-Delivered quality nursing care to meet the health, physical, emotional, and educational needs of a patient.
-Anticipated deterioration before the evidence was convincing in terms of changes in vital signs.
-Documented and evaluated the effectiveness of treatment.
-Acted as interdepartmental liaison between Imaging Center and other service departments.
-Utilized assessments to monitor and identify potential risks.
- Prepare the patient for scan with IV Contrast by inserting IV cannula.
- Monitor the patient after scan with IV Contrast for any signs and symptoms of allergy or contrast and administrate the antiallergic medication as per radiologist order.
- Charge of daily maintaining and checking the crash cart.
- Charge of orienting the new radiology nurses.
II) As Radiology Interventional Nurse:
- Pre-Procedure Duties: - Prepare the surgical trolley.
- Assess a patient's condition and readiness for the operation procedure This include making sure the patient is properly hydrated.
- Communicate with patients in order to inform them of the basic aspects of the surgical process.
- Duties during Procedure:
-Patient monitoring this monitoring can include talking to the patient to make sure that they are not in too much pain and administering pain medicine as needed.
-Assisting the radiologist
- Post-Procedure Duties:
- Continue to administer pain medications as necessary and provide patients with the greatest level of comfort possible.
- Education of the patients and their families and made aware of the possible complications that may arise in the post-operative contexts .educate them regarding any medications or post-operative procedures that the patients should engage in so as to facilitate the healing process.
- Types of interventional procedures aim assisting:
-CT and US guided renal, liver, lung biopsy.
-US guided drainages, FNAC.
-Dialysis cather, Piccl, Porta cath insertion.
-Nephrostomy, nephrostogram, angioplasy, angiogram.

-Surgical dressing.

-Assisting in conventional procedure (Barium Enema, Barium
