I am leading HSE Department of a vast defence organization having more than 15000 employees. The organization deals with manufacturing / processing of highly hazardous plants, which requires high level of HSE infrastructure and plans. In addition; the organization also has variety of mechanical workshops, construction activities and electronic setups.
My duties are;
• Establish and maintain HSE management system and infrastructure in various setups of the organization.
• Comply and maintain regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and prepare plans for the implementation of control measures required to execute the organizational activities safely.
• Compile, analyze and interpret incidents / accidents statistical data and suggest preventive / corrective measures.
• Conduct audits of HSE management system.
• Inspect plant activities for the identification of potential hazards and to raise safety observation / violation reports for their settlements.
• Make and review safety plans for the erection of new facilities and to ensure whether all safety requirements have been met.
• Utilize various techniques like Risk Assessments, HAZOP Study, FMEA, dispersion modeling etc.
• Develop and maintain safety programs such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring and ventilation surveys etc.
• Conduct safety training and educational programs and demonstrate the use of safety gears & equipment.
• Select and procure personal protective equipment.
• Report results of environmental contaminant analyses and recommends corrective measures to be applied.
• Contractor management.
• Establish and maintain Integrated Management System of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
I have worked as a Lecturer in Department of Chemical Engineering, N.W.F.P University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar for 1 year. I was also involved in various research based projects along with foreign faculty.
Percentage Marks: 86.40 % (Topped throughout in engineering career) + Gold Medal in Chemical Engineering best performance • 30 Days Internship Experience in Fauji Jordan Fertilizer Company Ltd, Bin Qasim Karachi I was placed in the Urea Dry and Wet plant. That was the StamiCarbon Urea Manufacturing Plant and was producing the granulated Urea. • 60 Days Experience in Prides Plastic (Pvt) Limited Industry, Industrial State, Mardan, NWFP. Prides Plastics Industry is a private Industry and is manufacturing goods of the plastics using the PVC as a raw material. • 7 Days work at Dakhni Natural Gas Processing Plant, OGDCL Pakistan I was leading my team in the Sulfur Recovery Unit in OGDCL, Dakhni Plant. We design a plant for the sulfur recovery from natural gas, which was most efficient and economical, producing 68 MTD solid sulfur. • 30 Days work at Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR), Peshawar Center. We were given a project on the analysis of potable water of some poorer areas of the Peshawar. That project was in collaboration with the PCSIR and EPA. We analyzed the water for chemical and physical water quality parameters in PCSIR labs.
