•Responsible for ensuring a constant, smooth & efficient warehouse & distribution operations whilst achieving agreed budgetary
and service levels ensuring timely and efficient delivery of DAL products to the customers
•Managing all the operations budgets and accountable for meeting the established budget for applicable areas
•Overseeing Demand & Supply Planning Analysis, Forecasting for the entire year based on stock demands
•Handling all logistical operations contributing to the development of business initiatives relevant to logistics projects and making sure
all the procedures are implemented as planned and followed
•Managing Inventory and periodic Stock counts by actively seeking out and implementing action plans to optimize discrepancies and to
maintain enviable lowest shrinkage record
•Managing the use of warehouse space by pro-actively anticipating every customer’s volume and prepare warehouse layouts
based on business needs and delivery planning
•Successfully implemented Delivery+Van Cash sales method for optimal operational efficiency and higher cash flow
•Schedule work force optimally to provide efficient and timely service to the customers to maintain uninterrupted supplies to support sales team
•Ensure all Health, Safety and Hygiene standards are maintained in warehouse
•Ensuring all financial & procurement procedures are followed and carefully managed within the budget
•Overseeing Import clearances and organizing logistical operations for the movement of goods to warehouse till it reaches end
client. Constantly communicating with team in Khartoum in Sudan
•Strategy and Development Contributed to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
-Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services. Control costs and ensure profitability of
the country operations by contributing to the P&L
•General and Task Management Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers. Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs. Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports, exports or customer issues
-Promoting better communication between departments and forecasting demand to maintain an optimum stock level for a prudent
working capital. Proactively plan and monitor resource requirements against predicted volumes, reacting accordingly, whilst working
with the Transport Department to ensure loading/dispatch of vehicles meets agreed timescales
-Manpower planning in the shift based on the volume and priorities to achieve the targets. Ensuring metrics, reports, and process
documentation is available. Planning and procuring of consumables / packaging materials for Production. Keeping track of slow
moving and obsolete stock. Oversee the recruiting, hiring and training of new drivers. Supervise, coach and train warehouse
workforce
•People Management · Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports. Report on
achievement of targets and identify any actions required. Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with
health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
-Conduct annual performance appraisal to the management team. Recommend salary adjustments, rewards and promotions,
corrective actions and development plans based on employee performance
•Financial Budget and Control · Accountable for Sales & Distribution Budget. Provide reports and analysis on cost trend senior
• Prepare, present and maintain all reports pertaining to the Supply Chain Dept., to
ensure easy decision making, monitoring and control of the department activities
• Coordinate and monitor warehousing and distribution activities to ensure timely and
efficient delivery of Masafi products to the customers
• Monitor and account meticulously movement IN & OUT stocks, received from
Factory and dispatch to the market to facilitate perpetual stock count
• Plan and arrange the required number of vehicles, and execute the dispatch of goods to
the market to ensure timely delivery of goods to the customers
• Schedule manpower optimally to provide efficient and timely service to the customers
to maintain interrupted supplies to support their sales team
• Periodic Inventory count of stocks in WH/s to optimize discrepancies and to maintain
a mirror inventory level
• Liaise with Local Statutory bodies to ensure compliance with Local rules and
regulations
• Ensure location and surroundings of the goods stocked comply with safety and
hygienic standards as per the company guidelines
• Manage and oversees the complete operations of the logistics department and its team from the time of receipt of customers order till the completion of project
• Supervise day-to-day activities of the associates in Material Stores, Shipping and Receiving
• Work with the Operations Manager on the operations budgets and be accountable for meeting the established budget for applicable areas.
• Conducting weekly meetings and trainings for improving knowledge and safety awareness among drivers
• Scheduled weekly labor according to budget and volume
• Monitor all driver logs, inspections and regulatory guidelines are adhered
• Ensure all transportation billing is executed accurately and timely.
• Participate in shipping meetings and provide status of shipments
• Ensure that goods are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner
• Schedule Shipments and Deliveries
• Build Relationships with Vendors
• Maintain Warehouse Inventory
• Coordinating fleet maintenance with contracted lease company for checking the availability of vehicle
• Tracking the progress of shipments
• Reviewing inventory needs and keeping adequate stock
• Ensure all Health and Safety standards are maintained in warehouse
