To provide high level engineering support to all Broadcast Services equipment to ensure the
highest possible levels of technical and operational continuity to the kurdistan24.
Ensuring all technical areas and services are maintained to the highest engineering standards.
Some Detail on main technical Responsibilities:
• Operations, Configuration, Maintenance, and troubleshooting of A/V Broadcast equipment,
Multi-viewers, and Routers
• Harmonic Automation: Installation and support of Harmonic Polaris Advance clients for TX,
Ingest and MCR as well as administration of Pebblebeach Housekeeper and Device Controller
Systems
• Avid Automation: To perform in-depth system maintenance, support and troubleshooting of
Avid Systems including iNEWS, Interplay, Avid Media Composer, Nexis, FastServe video
servers, Media Central Cloud Ux, iNEWS Command
• VMware: System Maintenance, support and troubleshooting of VMware environment
• Vendor’s coordination around the globe for SLA’s and all technical coordination regarding
troubleshooting/resolving/replacement of any hardware issues of faulty hardware
• Providing technical support for NOC, PCR, MCR, Vizrt Products, FCP Edit Suites, Radio,
Digital Media, and all other technical areas
• Operation and maintenance of Broadcast Router Evertz XE8, Signal Distribution/conversion
equipment, Master Control and Branding
• Operation and maintenance of Talkback / IFB Systems “Clear com”
• Operation and maintenance of Vision / Audio Mixers, SONY HXC-FB80 Cameras & CCU’s
• Providing support for Satellite based broadcasting system, LiveU, Streambox, Flyaway, DSNG
• Operation and maintenance of Talkback / IFB Systems “Clear com”
• Operation and maintenance of Vision / Audio Mixers
• Administration and maintenance of (DNS, Domain Controller, File, FTP, Vantage)Servers,
FortiGate 1000c&100 Firewall, SAN, NAS & Dell EMC Storages

Responsible for setting up and operating equipment and transmission links during broadcasts
• Setup and operates various broadcasting equipment such as recording, video and editing
equipment; checks equipment for operational readiness; provides operational
assistance/instruction to others as needed
• Respond to operational issues to resolve platform and broadcast problems
• Support to broadcast facilities in maintenance, installation, and modification of technical
broadcast equipment
• Ensure that all new services go through the handover process and are "fit for purpose”

broadcast equipment. Work under pressure to meet broadcast deadlines, make decisions and
take corrective action with supervision and are required work various shifts with and 24-hour
period of the week
