Responsibilities handled as a Fire Protection Design And Estimation Engineer.
• Appointed as Fire Protection Engineer (Mechanical Engineer).
• Responsible for the Design of Fire Protection systems like Sprinkler, Standpipe, Fire Water network etc. as per the NFPA and other standards
• Conversant with engineering aspects of the system and knowledge of design as per NFPA and local codes & practice
• High level of self-motivation and an ability to work with a high level of initiative and limited supervision, in high pressure situations. Ability to manage multiple tasks
• Preparation of Project Estimation BOQ includes man hours, material cost etc as per Feed documents and finalizing the total project cost.
• Design of Gas suppression systems like NOVEC 1230, FM200, CO2 etc.
• Performed Hydraulic calculations in HASS and PIPENET softwares.
• Responsible for complete project design, calculations and its approvals.
• Preparing BOQ, Material takes off on tender drawings.
• Close co-ordinations with system installation team to execute the project as per design.
• Responsible for site surveys before design starts.
• Conducting site surveys during the execution and after finish the project.
• Preparing As-built drawings and submit revised design as per installations

• Appointed as Fire Protection Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) to work for gulf projects and also responsible for HVAC designs for local projects.
• Responsible for the Design of Fire Protection systems like Sprinkler, Standpipe, Fire Water network etc. as per the NFPA and other standards
• Conversant with engineering aspects of the system and knowledge of design as per NFPA and local codes & practice.
• Coordination of MEP services like Fire fighting and HVAC in REVIT software.
• Performed Hydraulic calculations in HASS and PIPENET software for Fire Protection systems.
• Responsible for site surveys before design starts.
• Conducting site surveys during the execution and after finish the project.
• Preparing As-built drawings and submit revised design as per installations.
• Preparing BOQ, Material takes off on tender drawings.
• Co-ordinations with Site installation team to execute the project as per design and site surveys/visit during the installation
• Enquiries receiving from the Sales Department.
• Determining the system required to the client from the AUOT CAD Soft copy provided by the client.
• Preparing the complete BOQ as per the site requirement and from the softcopy for FIRE ALARM SYSTEM( either Addressable or Conventional system) AND FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM (Sprinkler system, Hydrant, Hose Cabinet system etc)
• Fire Fighting system includes Sprinkler system, Gaseous system (FM 200, CO2, NOVEC 1230 etc) Hydrant system, pumps.
• Estimation for the prepared BOQ with all pipes, mechanical fittings, elbows, flanges, gaskets, valves, pump capacities etc.
• Sending enquiries to the supplier for the pricing and delivery schedule.
• Sending enquiries to the supplies as per the prepared BOQ for the pricing.
• Pricing to the all prepared BOQ as per the supplier cost provided and with nominal profit.
• Mentioning all the details in the complete quotation by providing the product details like description of the product, type, model, model no, approved or not etc.
• Calculating all the expenses like, labor charges, installation charges, importing charges (if any products to be import) etc.
• Preparing technical submittal with all products being quoted for complete system.
• Submitting complete quotation to the Sales Department with all technical submittal, catalogues with delivery & installation schedule.
• Negotiating with the price and balancing the quotation price if required.
• Close follow up with the Sales department or with the client to get the Purchase Order to the submitted quotation.
• Once submitted quotation get approved, ordering for the products as per quotation with model no and types to the supplier.
• Production planning & scheduling, follow up of production from raw material to finished product.
• Leading skilled machine operators on shop floor for productivity and efficiency.
• Detail study of customer’s designs and drawings.
• Meeting customers to know their requirements, preparing BOM (Bill of Materials) for Purchase department.
• Maintaining ISO standards and quality requirements.
• Stage inspection at each machine to minimize the rejections and controlling the machine time for rejected materials ( if any).
• Using CAD SOFTWARE preparing the detail shop floor drawings.
A project done on CNC milling machine and a machine component was manufactured in the CNC milling machine.
