• Maintain document control register / document control index
• Preparing and sending transmittal
• Filing / Maintaining Transmittal and Correspondence
• Retrieval and keeping the data into FTP
• Filing of all Documents /Drawing into respective department folders & maintain records
• Maintain electronic files received from client into Document Management System
• Assign and register document numbers for inward and outward documents
• Maintain and track the discrepancy documents received from client inform to superiors & clients
• Register all incoming / outgoing correspondence and maintain database
• Scanning, printing, photo copying, and work with PDF conversion software
• Preparation of weekly progress reports using Primavera / MS projects
• Knowledge of Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
• Develop and manage the Library collection print, non-print and electronic formats. This includes liaising with the teaching staff and students for collection development
• Coordinate and perform the acquisitions, cataloguing and technical processing functions of the Library ensuing that the quality standards of the processing and bibliographic records are maintained
• Identify and develop reference and information sources and provide research and reference services to faculties and students
• Supervise and manage the loan and circulation services, shelving and upkeep of library facilities upto the needs of library standards.
• Identify, plan, develop, implement and evaluate program and activities in collaboration with teaching staff and students to support the development of students to be independent and collaborative learners through the use of the library resources, services and facilities
• Plan and maintain electronic and digital resource development and organization of access to these digital resources and online services
• Coordinate and manage the updating and maintaining of policies and provisions affecting the delivery of library resources and services
• Plan and undertake review, formulation and implementation of existing and new library policies, procedures and guidelines in response to changing trends and needs
• Guiding students and faculties specially on E-Journals
• Attending to the Inspection / commission teams from AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), New Delhi, Madras University, and Anna University
• Scheduling the work shift of library staff members
• Subscribing and renewing institutional memberships like
• Anna University (b) American Library and (c) British Council Library
• Giving lecture for 10 to 15 minutes to the First Year students of UG and PG regarding the library rules, better usage of the library and its importance.
