power system with battery storage, diesel and wind generation, integrated with grid supply. Project involves development of smart solution for microgrid control, including predictive and instructive controls. One of the requirements for approval were modelling and study of system behavior (steady state and dynamic) and its impacts on network.
- Australia Microgrid Centre of Excellence (ACMOE) - WA: Partnering with ACMOE to deliver
micorgid feasibility and impact analysis for communities in remote areas in WA.
Technical Lead for FEED for remote communities Microgrid project (ARENA funded). The microgrids
included novel back-to-back converter topology with Western Power connection, 5MW PV and 5x 500kW wind turbines.
- Water Corporation - Water Desalination Plant, Kwinana: Asset management of the electrical
infrastructure and equipment in accordance with ISO 9001, IEC 61508, IEC 61511, ISO 26262, ISO 21500 and ISO 55001. Planning, analyzing, and conducting safety activities on all types of electrical
products and projects. Performing Gap Analysis and providing recommendation for closing Gaps.
Planning and coordinating functional safety activities for entire projects. Managing project risk with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Talison Lithium - Greenbushes: Maintenance and asset management of 132kV / 22 kV substation.
Project involves ongoing inspection and maintenance of HV substation. Initial work included designing of protection scheme and provision of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and backup power generation for control systems in switchroom.
- Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) - Tom Price: Project involved designing, installation and
commissioning of standalone power system for automated tunnel lights. The challenges included
designing, modelling, and load flow analysis of integrated solar BESS system, with electrical and
protection schemes, and control and communication design.
- Talison TSF Pump Station - Greenbushes: Designing, procurement, and project management for decant water pumping station with 1MVA 33kV / 415V substation and variable speed drives.

Won ongoing
operation and maintenance contract for sites’ electrical, control and communication system.
- BHP Nickle West - Kwinana: Project involved feasibility study of integration of grid connected system with 1MW solar power system. Designing, modelling, and load flow analysis of integrated solar power system, with electrical and protection schemes, and control and communication design.
- Gruyere Gold Power Station - Partnered with APA Group to engineer, procure, install and commission hybrid energy system at Gruyere mine site power station. Responsible for design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of rooftop solar PV power integrated with gas and diesel generators.
Project involved extensive engineering and controls skills to increase the efficiency of power generation system.
