Key Project:
• 2, 400 km North South Railway Project in KSA.
Achievements:
• Oversaw all civil and track works, quality control and safety on the section CTW400 of the project with
a total value of approximately € 1.5 billion. Track design speed 200 km/h
• Led the contract's procurement according to the FIDIC 'Red Book' form of contracts which was then
let out to multinational consortia.
Responsibilities:
Strategic
• In charge of coordination between various disciplines, executing engineering designs, planning,
organizing and managing construction works.
• Controlling and approving design, individual studies, selection of materials and technical
specifications to be applied in the construction as responsible for the engineering department
• Assuming responsibility for all supervisory staff at sites, project and contract control, program, quality
and safety control aspects in addition to carrying out material testing.
• Determining projected time frames, construction issues pertaining to projects to ensure timely
completion within budgetary constraints.
• Communicating project status and costs to senior management, conducting site visits to verify
workflow, quality of work and mitigate any resultant issues.
Technical
• Forming, finalizing and approving the track alignment and profile based on site conditions and
difficulties according to AREMA standards
• Executing a broad spectrum of construction works encompassing excavations, high embankments
(100 m) in deserts area, over and under bridges, over waldies, bridges, camel crossings, box- and
pipe culverts, new tracks and turnouts with continuously welding rails, stations, inter-modal areas,
signalling systems and telecommunications.
• Extensively carrying out earthworks with excavations in the range of 43 mil metres, blasting,
embankments in the range of 55 million metres, embankments in sand dune areas more than 100
meters, subgrade and sub-ballast construction.
• Working on a variety of structures like 29 UR bridges, 4 OR bridges, 12 OW bridges, 12 CC, 550 BC
and 106 PC as well as road and asphalt works.
• Executing track works including 520 km of high speed track comprising of continuous welded rail, 75
turnouts, inter-modal yards, signaling and sleeper factory.

Achieved recognition for the ability to manage projects and resolve problems quickly and accurately.
Responsibilities:
• Rendered consultancy services to three leading Greek railway construction companies namely
Xanthakis SA, Anastilotiki SA and Terna SA according to the FIDIC 'Red or Yellow Book' and also
EPC contracts.
• Applied comprehensive project management principles, coordinated between various sub-
contractors, formulated and maintained all necessary construction documentation.
• Oversaw the scheduling of major construction inspections to ensure contractual compliance with
plans, specifications, materials, schedules, workmanship and safety standards.
• Conducted final inspections to assure the project’s completion and ensured that final acceptance
included necessary warranties and strategies for resolution of liquidated damages.
• Provided operational staff with resources and oriented them toward proficiency with specialized
functional components and systems.
• Monitored project financial management and construction quality to ensure adherence to
international standards and successfully completed the administration of all projects to the agreed
specifications within demanding budgetary and time constraints.
