Handling the portfolio of Solution Delivery Lead for APAC Region for REDKNEE's convergent billing suite. Currently associated one of the biggest projects involving a multimillion contract of REDKNEE with one of the telecom operators in APAC region - DST Group, Brunei. In this project the existing billing system of DST is being migrated from @BILITY (Lifetree Convergence: TECNOTREE) billing system to REDKNEE's TCB system. Activities involve -
12. Analysis of current system architecture of customer's OSS/BSS systems and collection of business requirements.
13. Mapping business requirements with REDKNEE's converged billing solution and real time rating and charging solutions.
14. Getting the RFFs and enhancements requests and get it approved by PLM and then developed by R&D team.
15. Preparation of deployment and migration strategy documents.
16. Preparation of system breakdown diagrams and detailed system designs.
17. Perform hardware acceptance tests.
18. Deployment of solution/product and configuration of the system and integration with other modules.
19. Performing acceptance testing with customer and handover to global support unit after GO LIVE.
Integration with third party involves both application interfaces as well as network interfaces. In application interfaces examples are integration of Microsoft dynamic CRM with REDKNEE's proprietary CRM application. Network interfaces include integration of REDKNEE's voice solution and real time rating engine with MSC, IN platforms, third party voucher management systems (ALU)

I started my IT career with Infosys technologies limited immediately after my PGD from CDAC. In this span of 7.5 years I played the role of a software engineer, an analyst and a technology lead. All these 7.5 years I have been working on projects from telecom domain and primarily in the billing area.
In the last 5 years of my career I had spent 3 years working at the client location which helped me further to nurture my client interfacing, consultancy and functional analyst skills. I was recognized as the best analyst with best system knowledge in billing domain by the customer.
Over the last 8 years, experience in the I.T. industry of which the whole of it in Telecommunications as a billing, integration and solution architecture specialist. I was engaged in a number of diverse disciplines and profiles which includes activities like business requirements gathering, requirements analysis, preparation of design specification documents, preparing solution agreements, application development, production support associate, billing consultant and troubleshooting. Acted as a key billing consultant for Belgacom (Belgium) and Telenet (Belgium) on wide number of projects while being employed with Infosys Technologies Limited.
I have extensive experience in migration of legacy systems into KENAN/COMVERSE billing systems. Below is the description of few major projects that I have been associated with in one or the other role as analyst or lead.
1. KENAN Modeling (Product/Promotions/Rating/Tariffs): Modeling of CONTRACTS, USAGE TYPES, NRCs, PACKAGE, COMPONENTS, DISCOUNTS, UNIT CREDITS, OPTIMIZING RATING STRUCTURE, JNL KEYS, SYSTEM PARAMETERS, CDR FILE LAYOUTS, PAYMENT FILE LAYOUTS, COLLECTION SCENARIOS, INVOICE NUMBERING, JURISDICTIONS, PRODUCT ELEMENTS etc. in KENAN.
2. Journal Custom Process - JCP ( Belgacom/Proximus, Belgium): The project involved building up a module similar to one of the KENAN BP core modules like CAP, BIP, JNL etc which could generate accrual and accrual reversal entries for all the billed in arrears products. I was involved with part of the design and the development of the module. Concepts like global temporary tables, ref cursors were used in this project to meet the performance requirements.
3. Bill Extractor (Belgacom/Proximus, Belgium): Client had a legacy CRM system which was integrated with KENAN BP 10.5 as the billing system. After billing the customers (accounts) several external systems had to be updated with the billing information. This extractor process generated 27 different flat files which were fed to several systems including the legacy CRM system. As mentioned above, similar to the JCP module, a BIX (bill extractor) module was developed which used to generate these flat files with the relevant data.
4. New Billing system setup (Telenet, Belgium): The project involved setting up a fresh new billing system to cater to big corporate customers. There were multiple tracks in this project which involved setting up the new billing system in KENAN 11.7 which involved setting up the environment and running all the core KENAN processes, migration of data (corporate customers) from old billing system (ARBOR 9.1) using VUU (version upgrade utility provided by COMVERSE) into KENAN FX 11.7, building the custom interfaces on KENAN FX 11.7 like bill formatting, collections processes and payment integration processes, integration of KENAN FX 11.7 with the custom built CRM system, changes and split in mediation (INTEC INTERMEDIATE) to split usage and send it to different billing systems for residential marketing segment and corporate market segments.
