My Job Profile in the Lab is as Follows.
• Performing variety of analysis and tests in accordance with established testing methods and instructions.
• Carrying out complex test analysis of Aromatics, EBSM, EG, EU, PE, PP Plants and involve in studies to support production performance, product quality optimization and customer needs.
• Monitoring and performing equipment calibration in his assigned area.
• Carrying out maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment in his area of responsibility.
• Monitoring and providing necessary assistance for any deviation to maintain SPC program.
• Extending skills in the development and writing of work instruction and technical reports.
• Contributing expertise in claim handling and perform necessary test analysis in this regard.
• Creating material reservation and coordinate lab maintenance with PA in the absence of Lab Coordinator.
• Monitoring and following-up of inventory level of standard and utility gases and other utilities. When necessary inform laboratory engineer or stock-keeper.
• Testing and inspecting newly installed or repaired laboratory testing apparatus and equipment and train Laboratory Technicians on the use of them.
• Complying with all safety and fire rules and regulations, including the use of protective clothing and equipment and ensures that all personnel working in his area comply with safety regulations.
• Carrying out other similar or related duties as assigned which includes ensuring the application of good housekeeping in the laboratory, maintaining all related files and record

I am currently working as a QC Chemist at M/S INSPECTORATE INTERNATIONAL(UK) LTD, Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia-An Independent Petroleum & Petrochemicals Inspection Company.
The company has been a part of the Saudi Chemical industry and was the first independent inspection company to become ISO certified and is currently registered under ISO: 17025 throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for both operations and testing on Oil, Petroleum, Petrochemicals and Environmental Samples.

All samples are analyzed as per ASTM, IP, UOP, methods

 I am responsible for following Petroleum product Analysis, Refinery Intermediate process Analysis & Water analysis and Polypropylene Samples

 Analysis of Polypropylene homopolymer and Petroleum products, different additives, in process samples, finishes product samples and water samples.
 Analysis QC / QA samples of Polypropylene and material release through SAP.
 Actively participate in all types of commissioning activities like instrument installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, trouble shooting and method development work.
 Company having BASELL SPERIPOL TECHNOLOGY for making Polypropylene HOMO, RADEM and IMPACTS GRADES.
 Recently laboratory commissioned.

 Test Parameter

 Raw materials Purity test like Propylene gases by Gas Chromatograph.
 In-process testing like Catalyst and Additives, MFI, Xylene soluble test, Colour value (Yellowness Index), Pellet size, APS, Fines, Bulk Density, and other physical test of Polypropylene.
 Processing test of the Finish product like Gel rating, Filterability, Flexural Modulus, Openability (T.Q. Film) Moisture etc.

Refinery Process Samples Analysis.
Parameters:-Distillation, Kinematic Viscosity, Flash Point, Moisture, Pour Point, Copper corrosion, colour, Vapourpressure, GumContent, Sediment, Carbon Residue, Oxidation Stability, Acidity, Density, Smoke Point, Sulphur, HydrogenSulphide, Cloud Point, BS & W, Mercaptans, Bromine Index etc.
All samples are Analyzed As per ASTM, IP, UOP, ISO and BIS methods.
 GC Analysis

GC Laboratory is having various types of Gas Chromatographs integrated with Multidimensional and Multifunctional techniques for various dedicated analysis. Analysis of samples for Refinery Products like LPG, naptha, benzene, p-xylene and o-xylene. Also analyzing various liquid and gas samples from process of refinery.

All samples are analyzed as per ASTM, BIS and APHA methods.

Also involved in Calibration of Instruments, Standardization and generate product certificates & train the new joiners for the company.

GC Laboratory is having various types of Gas Chromatographs integrated with Multidimensional and Multifunctional techniques for various dedicated analysis. Utility Samples: -Sea Water, Desalination Water, DM Water, Boiler Water, Condensate water, Cooling Water, Effluent Water And Sewage Water samples.
Process Samples: - Brine water, Boot water and sour water.
Parameters: - pH, Conductivity, TDS, TOC, COD, BOD, Alkalinity, Chloride, Colour, Cyanide, DO, Hardness, Hydrogen Sulphide, HSS, Hydrazine, Iron, MDEA, MLSS, MLVSS, Ammonia, Oil and Grease, TSS, Phenol, Phosphate, Silica, Sulphate, Sulphide, Turbidity, TVC and SRB etc.
Utility Raw materials: - Caustic Lye, Sulfuric acid, Sodium carbonate, Sodium hypo chloride, Sodium Bromide, Activated Carbon, Calcium chloride, Hydrogen Peroxide, Hydrochloric Acid, Sodium bicarbonate, Sodium Chloride, Tri Sodium Phosphate, Ferric Chloride and Sodium Chlorite.
