Implementations at Tes-amm
Having seen several areas of improvement for such a rapidly growing
business, I undertook my own initiative outside work hours to help develop
solutions for increased business productivity. Projects included:
Monitoring - LCD panel testing automation program: developed for
TESAMM Australia, improving hardware assessment efficiency whilst
reducing waste. This simple program used to test LCD and LED panels was
devised and once implemented testing times roughly went from 1 minute to
40 seconds per panel - improving testing efficiency by 33%.
TAP Registry - Hardware and spare parts department. Previously using an
excel document to catalog thousands of spare parts. I presented an idea to
Tesamm that I could help develop a complete parts cataloging system. The
online database had a PHP front end and SQL backend designed by a fellow
engineering student. The layout and function of this program was used as
the foundation of the new system used today.
Western Sydney University Solar Car Project (10th place) out of 29 Universities in the World Solar Challenge. Which is a solar only powered race from Darwin to Adeilade (3000 km). I was Head of Aero Dynamics.
