1. Advising on developing the necessary HSE (Fire & Safety) guidelines based on regulatory (Legal Bodies) requirement, and ensuring its implementation on all sites.
2. Monitoring the effective implementation of updated Fire & OHS System procedures and upgradation in accordance with legislations and Company requirements.
3. Facilitating weekly & monthly HSE Management Review meetings and audits.
4. Maintaining Key Performance Indicators in accordance with HSE, while monitoring progress towards Company continuous improvement goals.
5. Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards.
6. Assuring compliance with all relevant Local, State, and Federal Occupational Health & Safety Administration and Environmental Protections Agency (EPA) rules and regulations.
7. Ensuring designs/layouts of Fire hydrant, sprinkler & Fire alarm system according to NFPA Codes.
8. Tracking environmental metrics, proposing and implementing resolution to reduce safety and environmental risks & incidents.
9. Serving as the internal leader and “go to” expert for sustainability, monitoring emerging trends, programs and issues, and communicating and educating others on sustainability programs.
10. Assessing and developing procedures for potentially hazardous waste minimization, reuse and recycle.
11. Managing all retails/ outlets Fire & HSE concerns and its compliance.
12. Monitor to facilitate fire, health and safety culture through trainings and awareness sessions to all new & existing employees including contractors.
13. Develop and check the up-gradation of HSE Team and volunteers (Emergency response team) with latest standardized firefighting techniques, training modules and drills.
14. Keeping record of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvements.
15. Advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g., fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.
16. Ensuring all types of work permits like hot works, cold works, height works and chemical work.
17. Review and evaluate the facility categorization with respect to Fire Risk. (High risk, medium risk and low risk) so that further fire safety arrangements could be ensured in the form of auto suppression system as per Pakistan Building Code and Compliance.
