Works at Optical Express which is a private refractive surgery chain of more than 100 clinic in United Kingdom. Performs all pre-screening for patients' suitability for different kind of refractive procedure by doing wide range of diagnostic tests.
Works at ACES eye clinics which are the NHS(government) setting clinics of Optical Express for cataract surgeries, general ophthalmology and glaucoma. Performs pre assessment for cataract surgeries, prepare patients for YAG Capsulotomy and SLT, carry out all the diagnostic tests for Glaoucoma and General ophthalmology.
Worked as a full time registered Optometrist at the tertiary level of eye care in a spanish based eye hospital, Barraquer Eye Hospital, in Dubai, branch of Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre, Spain.
I was associated with Barraquer Eye Hospital for 1 year where I was mainly responsible for examining patients in Pediatric and Orthoptic Department.
My responsibilities included pediatric vision assessment and refraction using age appropriate techniques, complete orthoptic assessment of both pediatric and adult patients using different methods, performing binocular vision assessment and exercise in synoptophore, ocular motility assessment by Lancaster.
Apart from this I was also responsible for various anterior, posterior segment diagnostics and Electrophysiological Tests.
I was associated with Canadian Specialist Hospital for 7 years and worked in a team of six multidisciplinary eyecare professional where we were committed in providing optimum ophthalmology and optometry services.
My job involved examination of retinal disorders, glaucoma and other visual field disorders by Optical Coherence Tomography, Multimodal Fundus Imaging, Visual Field Analyser, Pachymetry, and Specular Microscopy.
I was responsible for examination of visual efficiency using age appropriate vision test cards and providing precise correction of vision by Cycloplegic Refraction with Retinoscope in children. I carried out assessment of different visual disorders by Orthoptic, Stereopsis and Colour Vision tests.
I prescribed and fitted eyeglasses and contact lenses and adviced patients on lighting arrangements and safe working distances for better visual comfort.
Involved mainly in retina department and assisted Ophthalmologist in performing FFA
•Assessment of retinal pathologies by performing Optical Coherence Tomography and multimodal imaging and wide field imaging using Spectralis Hiedelberg HRT.
•Evaluation of Glaucoma by performing Tonometry, Pachymetry, Visual Field and Retinal Nerve Fibre Layer Analysis, anterior segment angle imaging.
•Orthoptic evaluation for binocular vision disorders; Stereo acuity and colorvision assessment.
I was associated with this optical retail chain for 6 months where I evaluated ocular health by Slit Lamp Biomicroscope and Ophthalmoscope.
My job also included examination and correction of vision by specialized eyeglasses, contact lenses and visual aids for patients with partially blind and special vision problems. I educated patient on ocular hygiene, care and maintenance and safety factors for contact lens use.
Further, I referred patient to ophthalmologists and concerned physicians for medical and surgical treatment for ocular and systemic conditions as per the requirement.
I was associated with this rotary group for 1 year where I conducted Slit lamp eye examination, Tonometry and Perimetry to determine ocular health.
My job involved prescribing glasses, contact lenses and visual aids for correcting different visual conditions needing corrections.
I was also responsible for administrative duties including managing of inventory and store, preparing salary slips, daily collection of revenues from the entire departments of the hospital.
I was associated with these clinical centres for 1 year and 2 months where I examined patients’ eyes with the aid of Slit lamp Biomicroscope and Direct Ophthalmoscope.
Referred the special ocular conditions and systemic diseases to ophthalmologists and concerned physicians as needed.
Prescribed treatment with magnifiers and specialized glasses for improvement and correction of special vision problems.
