Lilongwe Water Board 2014 - Current

•Responsible for Human Resource management and development, organizational development, training, and change management initiatives for a water utility institution (Lilongwe Water Board) with over 500 employees.
•Developing, reviewing and implementation of organisation and management structures; and establishing adequate staffing levels.
•Developing and recommending to the Chief Executive for the Board’s approval, policies, and objectives for Human Resources Planning, Recruitment Training and Development Programmes.
•Ensuring organizational dues process, fair and equitable treatment of employees by enforcing the use of relevant policies and procedures and according to staff regulations and conditions of service.
•Creating a Corporate Culture supportive of high performance, productivity, good people management quality and service which inspire staff with a commitment to excellence in the performance of all their duties.
•Promoting dialogue among employees' committees and management representatives on matters related to terms and conditions of service.
•Liaising with Government, Trade Unions and other employer or employees associations on industrial and labour relation issues.
•Ensuring that the Board meets all its legal obligations.
•Following up all amendments of laws and regulations concerning the Board, comment on their legal implication and report to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors.
•Facilitating provision of required legal opinion on consultants and contractors' agreements and other official documents where necessary.
•Acting as a liaison officer between Lilongwe Water Board and outside legal advisors, advocates and courts and reporting on the work progress.
•Serves the Board and its Committees as Secretary and responsible all of their operations.
•Preparing Board Minutes and keeping custody of all approved minutes for the Board and its Committees.
•Managing the Administration Department to ensure that the services of the department namely; Transport, Administrative and Human Resources function properly to achieve the set objectives.

Heading the Human Resource Function of the Board with about 500 members of staff.
•Participating in the development and reviewing of the Strategic Plans for the Board.
•Developing Annual Human Resources Business plans and budgets from Strategic Plans for implementation.

•Advising Management on Labour Laws and on issues related to conflict management and resolutions and general Human resources issues.

•Producing Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Human Resource reports of the Board.
•Representing the Board at Industrial Relations Court on staff cases.
•Involved in planning, designing and implementing HIV/AIDs workplace programmes.
•Conducting periodic job market survey and recommend to Management the changes in the Labour Market.
•Conducting periodic staff satisfaction surveys and reporting results with recommendations to Management.
•Linking Management and Trade Union on industrial relation matters.
•Representing Lilongwe Water Board in various reform committees of the Five Water Boards and parent Ministry responsible for water development.
•Training, coaching and mentoring Members of Staff.
