The project includes 385m high rise for Capital Market Authority, constructed in the heart of King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). Design services provided by Omrania & Associates in joint venture with HoK, whereas site supervision/contract administration by Omrania & Associates. Main contractor : Saudi Binladen Group-ABCD.

As site consultant manager, am directly responsible for site management and supervision of the installed works, which includes, but not limited to:

• Overall management of the site team to supervise all construction activities including Quality
Assurance & Quality Control, Logistics, Safety etc.
• Ensure all elements of the project are built fully in accordance with the contractual requirements.
• Responsible for issuing Non-Conformance Notices to the contractor for any deviations
from the contract, including monitoring/close out process.
• Chair weekly Construction Meetings and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Meetings held with the
contractor, its sub-contractors and other key stakeholders including the client
• Attend weekly progress meetings and weekly planning meetings to evaluate the progress and
identify the areas of concern.
• Present construction progress analysis in the weekly high level meeting held with the client.
• Issuance of Weekly Accomplishment Report to major stakeholders.
• Maintain formal inspection procedures and manage the complete process related to the
construction, testing and commissioning, and project handover phases.
• Advise the Site Team with regard to good building practice, construction methods, care of materials
and workmanship, proper co-ordination and work sequencing in relation to the installation of work.
• Conduct audits for contractor’s various processes and procedures
• Whenever required, review and provide input to contractor’s Method Statements and Risk Assessments related to major elements of work.
• Certification of monthly progress

As Stantec’s Project Manager (designated as Deputy Chief Project Manager-Project Controls), responsible on behalf of the client (Toronto Transit Commission) for all aspects of project control services including scope of services delivery, all administrative matters, staffing etc. for the entire project. The role involves acting as Stantec’s Business Manager for the project. Specific roles include:

• Management of the project cost and estimating function.
• Management of project planning and scheduling, including maintenance of master schedules and detailed critical path analysis to report variances.
• Management of contract administration functions including procurement strategy, input to design and construction contract development, progress payments, change process and claims review.
• Direction and oversight of project accounting, cost control and budgeting systems and their coordination with Commission systems.

• Development, maintenance and ongoing administration of the change management process for the project.
• Coordination, development and implementation of procedures for project controls and contract administration.
• Maintenance liaison with federal, municipal and provincial elected officials, external agencies and project and Commission staff to expedite project approval processes.
• Monthly reporting and presentations to the government elected officials for project budget, schedule and physical progress.
• Acting in the capacity of the Chief Project Manager - Spadina Subway Extension when designated.

• Arranged the preparation of the monthly status report to the client and for internal distribution.
• Established and ensured compliance with appropriate administration procedures for the project, including document control, filing and the review and acquisition of office equipment needed for the project.

As Q.A/Q.C Manager, I headed the Site Supervision Department (designated on the Kingdom Centre Project as Q.A/Q.C Department), which included staff from all disciplines. Following were my responsibilities :
a) Over-all Management of the Site Supervision Staff (All disciplines)
b) Allocation of assignments to the inspectors/ Engineers
c) Final signoff for the "Request for Inspection" put forth by the Contractor
d) Review of the Contractor's Daily Reports
(e) Co-ordination with the Design Engineers
(f) Co-ordination with the Contractor as regards the 'Inspections of works'
(g) ) Quality Control and Quality Assurance of the works. One of my main/major assignment in the project was the Quality Assurance and Quality Control of the works. Below mentioned are those responsibilities in brief:
• Chairing the weekly Q.A/Q.C Meetings, tabling of new Q.A/Q.C issues.
• Initiating 'Non-Conformances Notices' to the contractor for works executed which are not conforming to the project requirements.
• Initiating 'Observation Notices', 'Site Instructions', 'Stop work Order' etc.
• Close-out of all the above notices upon receipt of contractor's response/ remedial
proposals.
• Witnessing the major Tests carried out on the site; documentation of the Test Reports.
• Maintaining Logs for 'Material Inspections' and the documentation for the materials delivered to the site to ensure compliance to the project requirements
(g) Attending the Weekly Construction Meetings
(h) ) Participating in the Weekly Safety walk along with representatives from 'Bechtel', Contractor and its sub-contractors, which was followed with the Safety Meeting.
(j)Handling the complete process of snagging and Taking Over of the Project.
