o My responsibility is to develop new customer and take care of existing customers to get the orders for the company as per given target.
o Frequently traveling to Europe and USA to present seasonal collection as per customer wishlist, market trend and discuss orders.
o Continuously follow up with the buyers for seasonal orders, quotation & development sample inquiries
o Daily attend business follow up meeting with higher management
o Continuous Market Research about fashion trend
o Heading PD Team for seasonal developments according to fashion trend and buyer needs
o Have strong knowledge about denim and woven fabrics/ washes
o Self decision maker where necessary
o Heading the Marketing & Product Development department where my core responsibility was to get orders for the company from old and new potential buyers.
o Developing and sampling new products for the company season wise in different washes
o Keep in touch with buyers for seasonal orders, quotation & development sample enquiries
o Developing new customers and following up with existing customers
o Overseas Traveling season wise to meet with customer for orders and strong business relationship
o Working in costing of developed and quotation sample
o To lead merchandising team
o Close coordination with Planning and Production department for on time delivery
o Self decision maker where necessary
o To develop the sample as per buyer requirement and meet the time frame
o Responsible for costing of developed and quotation sample
o To negotiate with the buyer by keeping international market standard to get order
o To attend the meeting with buying offices and buyers to discuss new development, new enquiries and orders
o To arrange fabric and trims for sampling
o To prepare T&A of all confirmed styles for strong follow up
o Have strong knowledge in woven fabric
o Have strong knowledge in garment washing
o Strong follow up with washing plant
o Strong follow up with production and planning department
o Have ability to take right decision on right time
o Follow up with fabric supplier to get in house on time
o To book the fabric to mill after order confirmation and keep follow up for LD
o To prepare Fit, Size Set, Photo, PPS, Gold Seal, TOP, Shipment sample on time for buyer approval
o Have strong fabric source of Woven, Denim, Linen, Linen Cotton, Poly in Pakistan, China & Bangladesh
o Have strong trims and accessories source in China and Hong Kong
o Responsible to execute the orders smoothly till shipment and to make sure that the necessary approvals are taken on time and the shipment date is met.
o Responsible to closely follow up the orders and to make sure that merchandise is produced according to approved standard. Communication with buyers in order to provide them complete & proper status of their running orders.
o Strongly follow up with buyer to get comments of sent approval sample
o Strong follow up with vendors to get in house all fabric, Trims, accessories & other material within best time to ship orders in buyer given date/time.
o To follow up from buyer for LC opening
o To follow up from buyer for LC acceptance after shipment
o Best vendor selection by keeping their performance & capacity.
o Strong record keeping of all approvals, fabrics & trims order detail
