Job Responsibilities :
• Preparation of scope of work,
• Designing and deriving technical specifications in detailed engineering documents adhering to international standards and budgeting aspects,
• Evaluation of technical bid documents and contracts,
• Coordinating and active participation with vendor engineers for administering professional and timely execution of projects,
• Active participation in installation, commissioning and Cold/Hot SAT of telecom systems,
• Continuously updating and seeking information on new technologies in Telecom industry and recommending the same to the company for future telecom upgradations.
• Designing preventive maintenance strategies and test check sheets for trouble free operations.
• Coordinating on day-to-day basis with technicians and managers to resolve routine problems.
• Active participation in weekly telecom meetings and job specific meetings. Daily/weekly reporting and maintenance of proper documentation.

Following Telecom systems are covered under the job:
• Federal Signal PA/GA system.
• ALSTOM GRID SDH/PDH equipment.
• LENEL Card Access systems and HID/proxy card readers, IS installations with various outdoor, indoor and wireless models.
• PELCO make CCTV cameras (Ex) and DVRs, networked through OTN.
• Motorola VHF, UHF, Tetra and Sailor Marine radios in coordination with QTEL Qatar.
• 4RF Aprisa Microwave point-to-point connections.
• Optical Fiber networking and OTN.
• Cisco IP Telephone and Nortel PABX.

Project Responsibilities :
• Preparation and review of FEED (Front End Engineering Design) documents.
• Review of IFA, IFC and As built drawings.
• Review of Method Statements, Interface Agreements, Risk Assessments & JSA.
• Maintaining project schedule by reviewing, managing and monitoring project progress;
• Monitoring construction, PMC, Commissioning, Startup and handover (to assets) activities.
• Coordinating activities and resolving problems (site specific & design specific) by conducting meetings with contractor/vendor and concerned QG Telecom staff.
• Surveillance, Inspection against RFI/NFI, witnessing cold/hot SAT, FAT.
• Review and witnessing A/B/C check sheets, ITPs and raising A/B/C Punch lists.
• Preparing Operation Readiness plans
• Follow-up with contractor for project deliverables and Two Years spare parts.

2) PMP (Plateau Maintenance Project). (contractor: TCJV)
3) DHT (Diesel Hydro Treatment) Project.(contractor: Samsung-SECL)

5) Upgrade of Lenel ACS in Doha QG HQ and QG Plant

Job Responsibilities :

• Planning, designing, Installation and commissioning of Telecom/Server rooms, Repeater rooms, Telephone exchange, cabling, Telecom towers and masts.
• Installation and maintenance of PA (public Address) systems in UN Logistic base compound.
• Programming, configuring, Installation and maintenance of Airband, HF, UHF, VHF, MTR2000 Repeaters and Tetra Transceivers in Airport, Aviation Control room, Military Camps and Checkposts, Vehicles.
• Installation and establishment of Microwave point-to-point links through Aprisa XE (4RF) (300MHz to 2.7GHz) for voice and Data.
• BGAN Satellite IP Modem installation.
• VHF Telephone Interconnect, Modems for Data Communication, INTERNAV & GPS.
• Handle backbone cabling, OFC, CAT-5e, Co-axial,
• Installation, configuring and commissioning of Digital recorders.

• Assembling, programming and installation of AXIS Network Security Cameras.

Administrative work :
• Manage Helpdesk and handle tickets efficiently and productively for internal clients.
• Maintaining daily/ weekly reports and job log books
Managing contract technicians and assignment of routine jobs

• Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Radio Repeaters, Fire Alarm systems and public address systems and Telephone systems
• Preparing Technical pre-bidding documents by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
• Preparing Detailed Engineering Documents.
• Monitoring Timely delivery of materials.
• Maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating with client; resolving problems.
• Participating in Client/contractor meetings and resolving Client/engineering and management project issues.

• Handling Installation and software loading, testing and commissioning of personal computers in Turnkey projects.
• Trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of Laptops & Desktops.
• Identifying, approach and presentation to prospective customers for AMC, timely follow-ups to close the deals.
• Programming, Installation and troubleshooting of Accord EPABX Systems.
