As a Project Management Consultant for NEOM, I am responsible for overseeing various projects. My duties include ensuring compliance with contract requirements, adhering to regional project plans and national regulations, and following Client Procedures/Codes of Practice. Effective communication with team members, which includes construction staff, project staff, design staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, is paramount in achieving project goals and deliverables. I offer technical expertise to address client and project requirements and maintain a high level of awareness regarding environmental and sustainable best practices, including national, international, and local guidance/procedures. Regardless of site work, I am committed to the safety and well-being of all individuals. Additionally, I prepare environmental and sustainability inspection reports, review contractor documents, such as monitoring plans and CESMPs, and assist Contractors in establishing criteria, evaluating compliance, and developing corrective measures to improve environmental performance in all areas of the work scope.

As a professional, I aim to maintain high technical standards, ensuring that scientifically robust and defensible data is provided at all times. I am prepared to challenge the integrity of data provided by others. Finally, I continually seek to improve existing environmental compliance and awareness programs and practices, aiming to innovate new solutions.

As a Supervision Consultant - Environmental Specialist, my primary role involved overseeing the management of multiple Roads, Drainage and Infrastructure projects throughout Doha, Qatar. Key responsibilities included:
• Conducting thorough reviews of Project Construction Environmental Management Plans and creating reports for approval by the Public Works Department and Ministry of Environment.
• Developing and maintaining a Permit Tracker Register to ensure compliance with Local Authority regulations.
• Reviewing Contractor's pre-qualifications and method statements.
• Managing the submission of permit applications for construction activities such as Micro Tunneling, Slurry Lagoons, Dewatering, Temporary Site offices, Crusher & Screening, Chemical Storage to ASHGHAL and Ministry of Municipality & Environment.
• Creating and updating project risk registers to ensure the safe execution of various construction activities.
• Environmental Monitoring and compliance of MME Permits on daily basis.

Lead a team of environmentalists and responsible for preparation of Environmental Management Plans and carried out Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Monitoring, Site Assessments, Environmental Audits and Socio-Economic Surveys for Roads, Buildings, Industries, Hospital Waste Management, New Cities, Landfill Sites and Wastewater Treatment Plants.

Key roles and responsibilities for selected major projects as below;

• I was assigned as a supervision consultant for implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plan for National Highway Project (Islamabad to Peshawar highway road 160 KM).
• Prepared Environmental Management and Monitoring Plans of Nestle and PEPSI CO Pakistan,
• I was involved in regular site visits for enforcing local environmental permit conditions for Meezan Bank Regional Building project.
• Reviewed pre-qualifications and supervised installation works including project close out of Wastewater Treatment Plants for beverages companies like PepsiCo and Aquafina.

As Project Environmental Manager provides environment assessment, planning and environmental operations professional leadership across all project. This includes planning and assessment, environmental management techniques, legislative compliance, environmental management reporting systems, implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plan and initiatives and strategies to deliver effective environment management outcomes on construction of roads / highways project. As a member of the project team actively contribute to the success of the project and:
• Integrate and communicate corporate strategy and plans into ongoing to ensure alignment to Roads and Government goals;
• Ecological Sustainable Development principles and technique, methods and technologies to drive sustainability by minimizing waste emissions, energy consumption, material usage, recycling initiatives including raising awareness and motivation to achieve the corporate, business and environmental goals, objectives and targets;
• Provide expert advice and support to the Environment Engineers to guide the delivery of consistent environmental assessments and approvals and effective high quality environmental management standards and solutions across project;
• Regular environmental monitoring and reporting;
• Provide appropriate, timely environment assessment, risk and operations performance reporting to the Project Director and other stakeholders reflecting key issues, performance and progress towards objectives;

Leaded Environment section of Oil & Gas Company and supervised project in Iraq (cost $611 million) and Corporate environment affairs. Following were the regular tasks & duties those were achieved successfully during tenure:
• Provided timely advice to the management and the project team on environmental issues;
• Conducted various environmental assessments during construction activities;
• Implemented Project Environmental Monitoring programme during Offshore and Onshore construction activities;
• Established contract specific environmental requirements;
• Implemented Environmental Management Plan and ensured compliance;
• Successfully communicated with the local community and sub-contractors regarding waste management and accurate recycling;
• Prepared Waste Management Plans & Hospital Waste Management and implemented at construction sites onshore and offshore;
• Provided guidance and advice to business and construction waste sites on waste management issues at onshore;
• Consulted with community groups, residents, sub-contractors, and stakeholders on waste management issues;

• Conducted Environmental Impact Assessment studies of roads & highways, offshore / onshore oil & gas exploration & drilling, Power Plants, urban development and chemical industries.
• Developed and maintained management information systems that used for identification of the location of hazardous materials;
• Conducted environmental awareness trainings for the staff of multi-national companies;
• Provided leadership on comprehensive environmental waste management compliance program to different sectors;
• Developed data of chemical inventories and shipments of hazardous wastes;
• Collected samples and performed tests of hazardous and industrial waste suspected of containing asbestos;
• Assisted junior engineers to develop environmental plans and emergency response plans;
• Conducted the research on ecological environment and natural sciences;
• Stack emissions monitoring of power plants & cement industries and report writing.

Key achievements during a short term consultancy in Jordan:
• Provided advice to the Government of Iraq (GOI) in the systematic and sustainable surveillance & monitoring of environmental information including the design of a National Environment Information Network;
• Provided support to the GOI in developing indicators that will help in the preparation of environmental reviews on the status of the environment in Iraq.
• Liaised with UNEP to ensure that these indicators feed into the State of the Environment report planned to be published in 2011.
• Analyzed present environmental aspects of oil refineries and pipelines in respect to social and habitat issues in and around Baghdad, Arbil and Basra (Iraq).
• Worked closely with GIS staff and prepared analysis on key environmental indicators. Ensured that this analysis will incorporated into presentations, reports such as the UNDAF review and advocacy products.
• Research and analysis on environment management (in collaboration with the Ministry of Science & Technology)
• Identified partners working in the field of environmental research in Iraq and mapped their activities.
• Conducted and proposed research activities on critical issues related to the sustainable management of Iraq's natural resources (e.g. land, water, forest) and the impact of economic activities, particularly in the fields of oil and energy, on environmental health.
• Prepared regular policy briefs to alert decision-makers within the GOI and UN to key environment issues in Iraq.
• Provided technical leadership to the UNAMI on environmental issues.

- Spearhead Environmental Protection Cell of Earthquake Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA);
- To carry out Environmental Impact Assessments of reconstruction and rehabilitation projects;
- Liaise with state and federal authorities regulating waste management;
- Runs and inspects waste disposal sites and recycling facilities;
- Implementation of Environmental Management Plans of on-going major roads, rural & urban housing, schools, hospitals and other projects;
- On the job training, capacity building, institutional development, workshops for EPA, line agencies and municipal authorities;
- Procedures for projects review and approval of projects requiring EIA, including urban development projects;
- Assist evaluation of impacts, mitigation measures & monitoring reporting;
- Review and integrate all available data on environmental damages to prepare projects and to produce firm estimates for use in planning, budgeting and implementation phasing;
- Provide Technical assistance in different departments at ERRA in respect of sustainable environmental approach in development and rehabilitation;

Key Accomplishments:
- Environmental Compliance of 34 Asian Development Bank funded Road sector projects, 5 Urban Development projects and 45 Health sector projects;
- Prepared Environmental Strategy of Earthquake affected areas of Pakistan with total cost of Rs. 3601 million;
- Prepared and implemented Hospital Waste Management Guidelines for earthquake affected mega reconstructed hospitals and incineration facilities;
- Prepared about 48 projects for rehabilitation and reconstruction (infrastructure projects);
- Successfully completed 12 Forest rehabilitation and 3 Integrated Watershed Management projects;
- Successfully arranged funding and installed rubble recycling plant at Muzaffarabad, Kashmir from Belgian Building Research Institute, Belgium;
- Research on manufacturing of concrete blocks from recycling material;
- Completed Limited Environmental Assessment of rural housing under the World Bank assisted reconstruction;
- As a Master Trainer conducted 15 local and 1 International trainings on “Environmental Integration in Earthquake Reconstruction & Rehabilitation”, “Environmental Impact Assessment”, “Environmental Management System”, “Rapid Environmental Assessment”, “Project Environmental Life Cycle Assessment”, and “Waste & Recycling management”;
- Completed 24 EIA’s of different projects and submitted to respective Environmental Protection Agencies;
- Liaison with The World Bank and Asian Development Bank and provide Compliance and Effective Monitoring reports of Rural Housing construction.
