Project:
33/11kV Primary Substations, 11/0.415kV Distribution substations, 33kV, 11kV and LV cabling works in ICAD and Khalifa Port and Industrial Zone in Abu Dbabi.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring contractor Quality control Program, this includes site inspection for compliance with Contract Documents, approved submittals in conformance to electrical codes and contract requirements. Maintaining project safety awareness and enforce company safety policy.

• Liaising and daily following up with the contractor. This is to ensure the contractor is managing its resources, health and safety, and equipment needs on the site.
• Coordinating with client area engineers during the site inspections and Site Acceptance Test for equipments.
• Performing or monitoring inspections on the following:

i. Installation of Power Transformer, Distribution Transformer, 33kV and 11kV GIS, 11kV AIS, RMU, Capacitor Bank, Battery Bank, Battery Charger, control and relay panels, LVAC panel and metering system.
ii. Installation of earthing grid, earthing risers and other works.
iii. Substation internal high and low voltage cable pulling, terminations, cable tray installation and other miscellaneous items in the basement,
iv. For O/G and I/C Feeders, 33kV and 11kV cabling works.
• Issuing site memo to the contractor if deficiencies found during execution of works.
• Monitoring the safety measures on daily basis if found not satisfactorily, issuing a site memo and performing safety walk twice a month
• Attending Site Acceptance Test for substation equipments which includes Power Transformer, Distribution Transformer, 33kV and 11kV GIS, 11kV AIS, RMU, Capacitor Bank, Battery Bank, Battery Charger, control and relay panels, LVAC panel, SCMS, metering system and cables in coordination with client engineer according to approved SAT procedure and formats.
• Participating in final site inspection and preparing snag/punch lists.

Projects: 132kV/33kV/11kV Substations, Generating Plant (Gas Turbine) under Project Management Department, Saudi Electricity Company and GCC Interconnection Project phase I- 400kV Transmission Substation, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinating and controlling project construction by continuous inspection of work progress for quality, workmanship and conformance with plan, project technical specification and drawings.
• Maintaining the project safety awareness and enforce company safety policy.
• Performing or monitoring inspections on the following:

i.Installation of Power Transformer, Distribution Transformer, 132kV GIS, 33kV and 11kV A AIS, RMU, Battery Bank, Battery Charger, control and relay panels, LVAC panel and metering system.
ii. Installation of earthing grid, earthing risers and other site works as per IFC drawing and technical specification.
iii. Substation internal high and low voltage cable pulling, terminations, cable tray installation and other miscellaneous items in the basement,
iv. Inspection of materilals delivered on site relevant to approved documents.
• Witnessing site test of substation equipments which includes Power Transformers, Station Service Transformers, 132kV GIS, 33/13.8kV Metal Clad Switchgear, control and relay panels, Protection relays, LVAC panel, DC charger and DCDB, Battery Bank, HV / LV power cables & control cables, SCADA system etc. according to approved test procedure and formats.
• Participating in final site inspection and preparing snag/punch lists.
• Working within project management team, the following responsibilities.

i. Reviewing contractor’s technical submittals and coordinating with other divisions for consolidating their respective requirements/comments to finalize the approval of proposed equipments and design calculation.
ii. Site acceptance/commissioning tests submitted by the contractor and preparing comments and sending to the contractor for incorporating.

My responsibilities were during working in construction management division in Rajasthan State Electricity Board for construction of 220/132/33kV and 132/33kV substations.

• I worked as a lead engineer for the projects which involved planning, monitoring, controlling and execution of substations works.

Details of responsibilities are same as indicated below for the duration April 1989 to August 1998 in Rajasthan State Electricity Board.

Key Responsibilities: My responsibilities included field engineering and supervising the construction projects for compliance with the design drawing client specification and code requirements and verify the equipments received at site are in accordance with the approved documents.

Performing inspection on installation and witnessing of testing and commissioning of electrical equipments of below projects. The works have been monitored in three projects are as under:

• Installation, testing and commissioning of four 250MVA, 380/115kV and two nos. 88MVA, 115/34.5kV Power Transformers, Station Service Transformers, 380kV Gas Insulated Switchgear, 380kV Surge Arrester, 380kV busduct, 115kV GIS, 34.5kV metal clad switchgears, 34.5kV busduct and relay panels, grounding system, Battery Chargers and Battery Bank, ACDB and DCDB etc.
• Installation, testing and commissioning of 115kV, 800/1000mm2 XLPE Power cables Route length- 2.5km( total length-20km)

• Review of project specifications, engineering documents/drawings for equipment layout, scheme drawings, substation earthing etc.
• Performing inspection on installation and witnessing of testing and commissioning of 220kV/132kV/33kV substations which includes Power Transformers, Station Service Transformers, Circuit Breakers(Vacuum, SF6 make BHEL, ABB, SIEMENS etc.), Capacitor Bank, Disconnecting Switch, Earthing Switch, Current Transformers, Voltage Transformers, Lightning Arrester, protection relays, AC Auxiliary Power supply 400/220V with auto transfer scheme (main ACDB, Sub ACDB) & DC Auxiliary Power supply110/220V DC (Battery Bank, Battery chargers and Main DCDB, Sub DCDB), control cables, motors etc.
• Preparing estimate for new projects.
• Participating in construction progress meetings. Participating in final site inspection and preparing snag/punch lists.
• Preparing site progress reports.
• Arranging weekly site meeting to review the progress schedule and solve the site technical problems.
• Supervising 132kV overhead Transmission lines stub setting, tower erection, stringing, sagging and testing.
• Performing inspection on outdoor lighting, Building lighting, substation road lighting and colony street lighting.
