Water Innovations Technologies (WIT) is a five-year project funded by USAID that seeks to increase water conservation in Jordan by focusing on water efficiency in the agricultural sector, community, and at household levels in the North and Jordan Valley, where a large number of Syrians are being hosted.
Responsibilities:
-Activation of market system development / MSD approach by encourage the communities to adopt the new water saving technology in the household level,
- Make sure to construct a number of projects under social cohesion which serves in conserving water or providing additional supply of water at communal level as well as reducing tension between the communities.
-Building a good relationship with stakeholders in the areas of intervention to facilitate the work and intervention of the project
- Coordination for conducting public awareness regarding water issues, importance of water conservation and the benefits of adopting different water saving technologies and practices at household level.
- Supporting water saving technologies contractors to market and promote their products (Rain water catchment and grey water systems) complemented by revolving loans.
- Supporting water saving technologies suppliers to market and promote their products (water saving devices) and linking them with retailers at communal levels to enable the market to function better and in a sustainable mode.
-Coordination with institutional and strengthen component in the project to insure the capacity building of the community based organization/ CBOs and to insure that the CBOs are conducting awareness sessions for their communities.
Responsible for the design, planning and implementation of the Households and communities component following the MSD (Market System development) approach.
• Manage the Households and communities component resources and budget
• In charge of managing the relationship with the project local partners (Jordan River Foundation and Royal Scientific society )
• Provide oversight, support and capacity building for the component team and local partners to ensure the consistency and quality of work.
• Ensure establishment and maintenance of relationships with communities, CBOs, local governmental institutions
• Lead the development and finalization of the component deliverables, including the work plan, oral presentations, draft reports, and final reports.
• Responsible for networking with the component relevant Market actors.
• Coordinate with other Mercy Corps Projects working on the same areas
Graduated from the university of Jordan, educational faculty , Educational guidance and psychological health, with very good grade .
