I am acting as Cost Manager that is required to maintain financial control of projects providing reliable projects budget and cost information (economic evaluation which initiates the project, estimating, controlling, analyzing, reporting, forecasting, and taking the necessary corrective action. Key Accountabilities:
•Tenders' financial assessment and issuing recommendation reports to meet allocated budgets.
•Perform a variety of cost engineering functions including cost control, budget preparations, projected cash flow, forecasting, and cost reporting.
•Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure
•Maintaining comprehensive logs for claims, variations, and Purchase orders.
•Variation Orders and claims commercial and technical assessment.
•Monitoring and controlling Project budget.
•Review, validate and certify all contractors Payments.
•Performing Value engineering for over budget activities to maintain Cost Base line.
•Lead the cost consultant team to align their deliverables with the organization
Head Office, New Cairo.
•Pre-Contract: Commercial and Contracts: Prepare the contract, negotiate contract conditions, negotiate commercial proposals and payment terms for the different required project vendors; consultants, contractors and suppliers to meet the project budget and get the best benefits for business growth for the assigned projects.
•Post Contract Commercial and Contracts: Prepare payment certificates for all project vendors and manage commercial closure of contracts (in coordination with the External Cost Consultant, where applicable); consultants, contractors and suppliers and monitor the payments to be finalized and paid on their due date for the assigned projects.
•Perform change management necessary actions, negotiate variation orders, prepare contract amendments and assess claims submitted by the different project vendors; consultants, contractors and suppliers and prepare counter claims, where applicable, for the assigned projects.
•Managing Consultants: Manage the cost consultant in terms of commercial deliverables required in the different project stages:
•Non-Project Procurement: Issue RFP/RFQ, Prepare the contracts/POs, negotiate contracts/PO conditions, negotiate commercial proposals and payment terms for the different required vendors
Cairo Festival City Project, New Cairo.
-Working as Client cost consultant within AAA site team that is responsible for processing, controlling and maintaining records for all commercial activities of the running work packages within Cairo Festival city project with the following Main Duties:
•Valuing of construction works for the purpose of interim payments assessment;
•Managing change procedures;
•Conductingof bi-weekly commercial meetings;
•Site visits, assessments and projections for future work;
•Performing feasibility studies of client requests and calculation of their cost impacts.
•Analyzing tender submissions for new packages;
•Perform risk management through Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks through monthly risk meetings.
Rehabilitation and Expansion of Cairo International Airport
-Working as cost engineer within Limak's engineering and cost control department with the following duties:
•Performing cost breakdown for the varied items for all disciplines i.e. Civil, Mechanical, electrical and Fuel hydrant system by communicating with other departments and collecting the related data;
•Perform Cost estimation reports for the Subcontractor variations;
•Monitoring and Control the subcontractors' variation compared to the Company's variation with the Employer.
•Determination & Evaluation of Subcontractor claims.
•Support the contract department with the commercial advice in order to reply on project manager or/and subcontractor letters.
Review and analyze the tender documents, the contract conditions and the project specifications;
•Contact with the client in case of any clarification required;
•Prepare Sub-contracts packages required along with their related Bill Of quantities, Drawings and Specifications
•Prepare Sub-contractors and Materials comparison reports for the Purpose of selecting adequate quotations;
•Start to calculate the direct cost of each activity by analyzing the items to its Unit Form.
•Basics (Material, Equipment, labor and direct sub-contractors) using Microsoft Office\Spread sheets.
•Collecting the final prices and proposal documents of the related project team members (Mechanical, electrical)
MIVIDA Project, New Cairo
•Prepare detailed quantity surveying for Structural and Architectural elements.
•Responsible for price Negotiation, Allocating work to subcontractors at site.
•Value the work carried out at site thus preparing the Monthly interim payments.
•Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
•Dealing with Client's Site work instructions, Variation and calculating its cost impact.
•Prepare Subcontracts for subcontractors.
•Prepare invoices to subcontractors.
UPTOWN CAIRO Project, Mokkatem,
•Responsible for all civil activities; excavation, foundation, RC skeleton,
•Responsible for all finishing activities; insulation, masonry, flooring, false ceiling and facades
•Responsible for coordination between civil and electro-mechanical activities on site
•Responsible for coordination between site and Technical office
Supervision on the finishing of residential buildings at AL-Shorouk city, Egypt.
•Participated in the designing stage of EGY-GREEN CO. Industrial building located in the Sadat city, Egypt.
