Working as a Head of SCADA Systems, in Princess Noura University project, Riyadh. A separate control system is used for each plant: Reverse Osmosis Plant, Generator Plant, Sewerage Water Treatment Plant and a DCS system for 13.8 kV Medium Voltage Network. PLC’s & SCADA Systems used are from ABB, Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Schneider. My responsibilities include:
1. Manage team, plan, and assign work to be carried out, and maintain good KPI of SCADA System.
2. Responsible to plan the operations carried out from the control room.
3. Responsible for logic modification, Installation, new controllers or device configuration used in the control system.
4. Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance, and resolve technical issues.
5. Responsible to maintain and manage the spares and consumable for the section.
6. Provide reports, and attend meetings, and coordinate with the client/consultant.
7. Responsible to coordinate with vendors, sub-contractors and study for systems upgrades.
Working as SCADA ENGINEER in AL-YAMAMA COMPANY, Project: Princess Noura University.
1. Responsible for handling all the SCADA systems available on the project. Following are the SCADA systems :
A. Medium Voltage SCADA System
B. RO Plant SCADA System
C. Generator Plant SCADA System and
D. STP SCADA System
2. Responsible for planning and carry out maintenance and backup plans of the system.
3. Responsible for troubleshooting, reporting and communicating the issues with vendors/management.
4. Responsible for managing Central Control Room team and its operations.
Worked as BMS Engineer in King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center(KAPSARC) Project.
1. Involved in commissioning of DDC Panels, Chiller Plant Automation system, RO Plant Automation system, and HVAC automation system.
2. Responsible for the central control room operations, carrying out maintenance and maintaining the healthy network.
3. Operations of Chiller Plant, RO Plant, Raw water pump station, Firewater pump station, Irrigation water pump station, HVAC system carried out from the central control room.
4. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for all types of transmitters, control valves and motorized valves in the above-mentioned plants, DDC Panels, VAV controllers.
5.Types of systems connected to the central control room:
a. Power Monitoring system.
b.Chiller Plant.
c. RO Plant.
d. Irrigation Management and Monitoring System.
e. Energy Management System.
f. Fire Alarm System.
g. HVAC System.
Also, worked at PRINCESS NOURA UNIVERSITY on SCADA and DCS system controlling and monitoring of MEDIUM VOLTAGE(13.8KV). Involved in commissioning of the RTU's. Involved in carrying out operation and maintenance for the system. A total of 113 RTU's are used throughout the network to retrieve the signals from switch gears, transformers and DC systems. Responsible for maintaining the network of the whole system.
worked as Automation Engineer, involved in commissioning of the various plants as mentioned: cold rolling plant, Galvanizing plant, wire drawing machines, wire straightening and cutting machine, weld mesh plants. All these plants/machines are fully automatic based on PLC's, VFD's and a supervisory/remote controlled through the SCADA System. Also involved in the operation and preventive, corrective maintenance of the mentioned plants/machines.
