As an intern at Arabtec, I got the chance to be in the construction site of the Fairmont hotel in Abu Dhabi marina (MEP division). I learnt so much about how electricity is delivered to the building and how the connections are made inside it while its been built. At the last two weeks, I was working on a project in which I had to design a four floors high residential building. All the electrical connections in the building and the power consumption calculations were done by me along with the actual drawing and design of the building. I had the chance to learn how to draw 2D models using AutoCAD through this project. The mechanical elements of the building were done by my two Mechanical Engineering partners (also interns).
