MTB Project: Construction of the Steel Structural/Envelope/Cladding works for the New Terminal Building in Abu Dhabi Airport in line with the Budget and time frame. The work is still ongoing and is targeted to be completed in Dec 2015.
• Accountable for development of overall processes & procedures related to structural steel work.
• Fully responsible for the timely execution of the project and ensuring that Safety, quality and project completion date is not compromised.
• Liaise with the project management team to ensure that their comments & requirements are taken into account within the project scope of work.
• Monitor and control any scope change, ensure that all scope changes are communicated to the client and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of the work.
• Prepare and staff the manpower and equipment requirements of the project to meet the completion dates.
1. Responsible for the development of the overall processes and procedures related to the discipline work.
2. Advise of any technical aspects of the Structural design that may affect construction progress, quality and cost.
3. Continually review and analyze the construction schedule during the progress of site works.
4. Review and ensure that the shop drawings are being matched with the design drawings and resolve any discrepancies.
5. Ensure that the project site observation / inspection of the work installation adheres to the approved shop drawings and Consultant’s specification, good working practices, the construction schedule and HSE requirements.
6. Monitor/Report of any Structural Steel defects and advise the relevant solution for the remedial action.
7. Contractually analyze the modification works carried out at site and prepare the related Day work sheets for all the additional work parts.
8. Liaise with the other disciplines to adjust the construction methodology of the structural steel (when possible) and study the materials site flow accordingly.
9. Attend project, site progress and any works related technical meetings.
10. Plan for all the required resources according to the budget and the working time frame.
11. Ensure the safety environment is spread among the work force.
12. Review and analyze the rigging studies and lifting plans to ensure the proper structural erection sequence.
13. Develop all the RA (Risk Assessments) documents required for the related activities.
14. Review and analyze the cost reports related to the site structural activities.
15. Monitor/Report and Control the site construction workflow and progress.
•Planning for the weekly/daily activities.
•Plan for all the required resources according to the budget and the working time frame.
•Monitor the site construction workflow and progress.
•Distributing the site manpower according to the activities schedule.
•Analyze the consumed MHRS and site productivity and ensure that it matches with the accepted norms.
•Making all the reporting status relating to the site construction works.
•Attending all the meetings with the Client or the top management.
•Coordinating with the JV partner for all the related site activities.
•Preparing and performing the mobilization work for the site.
•Supervising and progress monitoring and controlling all the site construction activities from A to Z.
•Making all the necessary reports & status relating to the site progress.
•Running the weekly meetings with the Client (ARAMCO).
•Discussing and solving any contractual problem with client during the work.
•Making the TPI for the tanks after the work completion.
•Organizing for the demobilizing activity.
•Handing over the two tanks to the client, and having all the related documents signed.
•In charge of all the administrative and financial matters for the site manpower.
•In charge of the whole Structural Steel erection and site modifications scope at QAPCO EP-2 Project.
•Making the whole documentation work related to the progress/plans for the daily/weekly site activities.
•Attending all the related meetings with the client.
•Making the required Supervision at the site construction works in structural steels, floating roof tanks erection.
•Reporting to the Section Head for the Daily/Weekly progress.
•Arranging all the necessary tools and materials for the site crews.
Involved in the welding and Fabrication of the Structural Steels, floating roof tanks erection, using the welding history record in accordance with the applicable codes, procedures, and specifications, to make certain that all the stages of fabrication, installation and testing were properly executed.
Responsible of selling the domestic heating system equipments and accessories like boilers, steel radiators, pumps, connection pipes and all the necessary fittings. in beside of being responsible of making the whole design calculations and giving the required technical advise to the customers.
