Head of IT Planning & Management office lead identifies and maintains current information about the capabilities and skills of IT staff.

This individual develops and maintains an organizational set of role and responsibility definitions to help in initiative planning. This role:

• Develops and maintains resource plans
• Assigns resources to initiatives, projects and programs
• Tracks resource assignments
• Resolves competition for resources

Responsible for the development and implementation of an overall IT sourcing strategy in a multi sourced IT environment.

This role focuses on the sourcing at an enterprise level and is responsible for creating the governance mechanism that is necessary to continuously coordinate and integrate the teams of vendor relationship management, contract management and Administration, IT project and asset management.

Acts as the strategic liaison between Training Department and IT.

IT organization in the areas of workforce planning, training and career development, organization design, performance management, compensation, recognition and change management.

Works with CTO and IT leadership team to develop a people strategy that supports the goals of the IT organization.

Develops action plans and strategies to address particular IT workforce needs.

Promotes innovation and continuous improvement in the IT organization. Works with the IT leadership team to drive broad cultural change and position the organization for long-term success by helping to build a high performing IT workforce.

Assists the IT organization in defining and implementing its business plan and goals to support the strategy and goals of the organization. Responsible for working with IT functional/ departmental executives and business leaders to create the overall business plan for IT.

Promotes innovation and continuous improvement in the IT organization.

Works with the IT leadership team to drive broad cultural change and position the organization for long-term success by helping to build a high performing IT workforce.

Analyzes and presents information to the IT leadership team that enables good decision making and encourages the focus around key people issues. Ensures IT human capital management practices and programs align with and are in compliance with corporate HR policies and standards. This position may have a joint reporting function into human resources and senior IT leadership (the CTO). This is a multifaceted position requiring a broad combination of skills spanning human resources, general management capabilities, and a solid understanding of IT functions, roles and responsibilities.

Assists the IT organization in defining and implementing its business plan and goals to support the strategy and goals of the organization. Responsible for working with IT functional/ departmental executives and business leaders to create the overall business plan for IT.

Ensures overall alignment of the IT strategy to the business strategy. Responsible for ensuring integration of all technology work performed across all business units with IT.

Responsible for educating IT Staff on the IT strategy.
