The objective behind my training in Fransabank is to enable myself to acquire an overview of the counter operations and a deeper knowledge of the bank services and products. My training covers several tasks in two major departments which are : Operational and Commercial.
The first two weeks were dedicated to the learning of operational services such as cash deposits and withdrawals, official & certified checks operations, checks received from clearing, inward & outward transfer, swift messages and finally payments of bills.
The remaining two weeks i started working in the commercial department where i was introduced to commercial services such as opening of accounts, plastic cards products, mail distribution service, call center, SMS, E-banking, procedure of consumer and housing loans, used and new car loans, PC loans, educational loans, letters of guarantees, commercial loans and savings & insurance products.
I volunteered for 150 hours in Greenpeace, i did both office work and field work. Office work was basically entering data on Microsoft excel. On the other hand, field work was basically about trips to clean the ocean and shores, planting trees and raising awareness.
