- Assist in the development of the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) programme in line with the overall company strategy, industry best practices, and local regulatory requirements as specified by the Government.
- Assist in the implementation of HSE policies and procedures as part of the HSE program to prevent injury and occupational illness to personnel and damage to the physical environment including building and equipment.
- Carry out inspections in all departments of the company to check: Occupational Environment, Machinery & Work Equipment, Materials, Goods & Hazardous Substances Management, First Aid Facilities, Use of Personal Protective Equipment, Safe Work Practices, Unsafe Condition like Fire and Waste Management
- Coordinate with HR and Implement HSE training for all employees and contractors as per the HSE Training Plan in order to promote safety awareness
- Compilation of site HSE performance reports/presentations and Internal Audits reporting findings for all BMMI locations
- Ensure all preventive and corrective actions following HSE audits are closed out as per agreed time frames
- Record and analyse information on injuries, man hours loss, assess accident trends and assist in accident investigation
- To coordinate and organise Health and Safety Committee, Tool Box Talks and take part in Management/Operatives discussion on injury prevention, health and welfare
- To keep contact with NGOs, Officials and Professional bodies e.g. Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Health, Civil Defense, and Ministry of Environment
- Coordinate and participate in Emergency Drills as per the company Emergency Response & Planning Policy and Procedures
- Assist in developing and implementing Company Waste Management & Energy Conservation Program
