- Serve as thought leader for supporting and driving innovative, technology focused compliance solutions with regulators and financial partners
- Manage and lead corporate onboarding, EDD, Financial crime investigation teams including diverse verticals and trainer for Compliance team
- Manage Enterprise wide ML/TF risk framework to respective products and services
- Ensure global financial crime framework, policies, programs, and controls (e.g., sanctions, ML investigations, KYC and incorporate requirements across all regions
- Oversee and strategically develop financial crime compliance framework, including anti-money laundering, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption for both B2B and consumer oriented services
- Provide strategic guidance to business leaders on the status of the Compliance program including trainings / refreshers with existing and upcoming regulatory requirements and potential product implications such as digital assets
- Provide strategic advice to business teams on product and geographic expansion initiatives, enabling growth while mitigating risk
- Develop and maintain relationship with counterparts at our domestic and global financial institution partners
- Coordinate with stakeholder as Legal, Product, Partnerships, and Policy to provide periodic reporting to senior management, the Board and regulatory reporting
- Expand and scale Compliance program while developing and sustaining high performing teams
- Team management of AML, Sanctions and Investigation officers
- Ensure prompt and adequate action on system, manual alerts, OFAC SDN hits
- Develop strategies to reduce TAT, manage risk and enhance Compliance services
- Develops Indicators AML, Sanctions team Key Risk and Key Performance
- Staff trainings refreshers on regular basis in line with CBUAE regulations
- Implementations, UAT, Tuning, systems enhancement, controls for transaction monitoring and screening as per Group and Regulatory policies and procedures.
- Prepare and presents reports to senior management and key stakeholders
- Management of process for tracking CBUAE RFIs, ECDD, IEMS providing regular updates and monitoring completion of regulatory requirements
- Review CBUAE-ECDD, RFIs, IEMS, TFS, correspondent bank responses, STR, fund freeze reports and PNMR to CBUAE
- Project management, process development and implementation of SAS AML, Real time transaction monitoring, Fircosoft screening, CBUAE - GOAML, TFS, IEMS
- Directly assist department head, look after his responsibilities in his absence
- Established robust Quality Assurance culture across the group that focuses on development, implementation of GRC and improving service quality, minimising cost of errors and processing
- Controls testing, includes testing evidence, performing walkthroughs, documenting audit work papers
- Identify gaps, anomalies in the process and escalate to respective authorities
- Drafted CCC, BRCC & GORM reports and presented findings and recommendations to appropriate business heads and senior management
- Performed RCSA reviews across business / Operational Risk Units (BRUs)
- Review level 2 AML/CTF, Sanction cases and investigations
- Composes and maintains desktop procedures to support activities performed
- Recommend relationship retention or termination and track account closures
- Governance and EDD checks on high risk individual/entity onboarding, dormant relationship, signatory additions and new fax / email indemnity requests
- Advisory matter expertise to the business being point of reference to queries
- Adherence to applicable policies such as ORM, FRM, IRM

- Investigate suspicious cases related to AML / EDD, Whistleblow, banking products, services, complaints, bribery and corruption cases

- Liaison with business to expedite AML/Fraud/investigations and prompt support
- To ensure required output quantity is met with desired standards as per the Minimum Operating Standards (MOS) to warrant compliance with UAE Central Bank regulations and Barclays Group EDD Policies and Procedures

- Responsible to achieve and improve quality and timely reporting
