Work with multiple vendors (Shipping lines/Airlines/NVOCC/IAgents) to determine the best
deals for the company, evaluate the many pros and cons of each, based on price, quality,
speed of delivery and other factors.
Gathering all the information from the market, analyse it to make the best decision on behalf
of the company complying with the management outlines
Working closely with all the suppliers to create and close deals
Seek out new suppliers in order to ensure the best possible services are being obtained at the
best possible price.
Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and negotiate annual pricing strategies.
Research new markets and present data to support findings and recommendations.
Manage daily Freight Forwarding activities of the company to include all sea, air, road and
operations.
Lead and direct all Sales and Business Development in line with the company strategy to
expand their services within the UAE and Middle East region.
Offer competitive rates & services to the market through efficient operations, smart pricing
policies and innovative operations.
Actively develop client relationships at a senior level and be responsible for delivering services
that meet the market requirements and offering smart solutions to secure new business.
Utilize their existing operational abilities and develop a new operational capability as the
business grows.
Effectively handle client bids and negotiations.
Elevate discussions to establish strategic partnerships with clients.
Participate and lead sales and client planning meetings.
Create a positive environment for the team.
Treats the client as the highest priority.
Negotiating contracts, transportation and handling costs in order to close sales deals with clients.
Ø Investigating and planning the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking account of the perishable or hazardous nature of the goods, cost, transit time and security.
Ø Arranging appropriate packing, taking account of climate, terrain, weight, nature of goods and cost, and the delivery and warehousing of goods at their final destination.
Ø Obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with overseas countries' regulations and fiscal regimes.
Ø Liaising with third parties to move goods (by road, rail, air or sea) in accordance with customer requirements.
Ø Maintaining communication and control through all phases of the journey, including the production of management reports and statistical and unit cost analysis.
Ø Increase volume business in line with assigned targets.
Ø Arranging insurance and assisting the client in the event of a claim.
Ø Offering tailored IT solutions and electronic data interchange (EDI) connections.
Ø Arranging charters for large volume, out-of-gauge or project movements by air and sea.
Ø Identify new markets and business opportunities through visiting potential clients.
Ø Represent the company at exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
