Responsible for the preparation of quality control procedures/documents like ITP, Welding Procedures, Weld Map etc. by reviewing contract quality requirements through specification and implement during project execution.
Responsible for review of all test reports and NDE reports (RT films).
Responsible for Reviewing the Sample MTC's sent by the procurement department for approval with respective to the MR & TDC, Project Specification and ASME/ASTM/BSEN Standards.
Perform the Fit-up / welding inspections, visual & dimensional inspection for ASME coded / non coded vessel's. Coordinating and offering the inspections to AI (ASME Authorized Inspector) and Client/TPI.
Responsible for incoming inspection of material for Piping i.e. Pipes, fittings, flanges, fasteners, structural materials i.e. Beams, Channels, Angles, UPN etc.
Perform the welding inspections, visual & dimensional inspection for piping and structure, witnessing of hydro test, Leak test, Load test, painting inspection.
Review of Inspection reports issued by TPI’s and close concerns raised if any.
Attend client audits.
Maintain the calibration records of tools & equipment’s.
Responsible for all Surface Preparation & Painting Related Activities as follows,
Preparation of Surface Preparation & Painting Procedure as per the Client Specification.
ITP Stage wise Inspection Activities, and performing the activities as per the approved procedure.
Witnessing the Blasting Inspection & Checking the WFT to achieve required DFT.
Coordinating with Client/TPI for Inspection as per the ITP stage wise.
Preparation of Reports and Performing the Painting Related Test like Pull Off / Cross Cut Method as per the requirement.
Final Visual & DFT Check and offering to Client / TPI.
Material and welding consumable inspection:- Inspection of raw material as per procurement order (P.O.) and reviewing of mill test certificate (MTC) and related procurement documents for
traceability and conformance to mechanical /Chemical properties in accordance with applicable Codes & standard like ASTM, ASME, AWS, & BS etc.
Fit-up Inspection:- Inspection of the fit-ups in the in-process stage with respect to visual, dimensional and orientation compliance as per the approved drawings and specifications. Knowledge of reading and making inspection of First Angle (US Std) and Third angle projection (International Std) Drawings.
Welding inspection :- Familiar with most of the Welding Processes like SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, SAW & Stud Welding for CS, SS, Mild steel, Cast iron etc.
Painting: Preparation of Procedures for Surface Preparation & Painting as per the Client Specification. ITP Stage wise Inspection Activities, and performing the activities as per the approved procedure. Witnessing the Blasting Inspection & Checking the WFT to achieve required DFT. Coordinating with Client/TPI for Inspection as per the ITP stage wise. Preparation of Reports and Performing the Painting Related Test like Pull Off Test / Cross Cut Test, Holiday Test etc, . as per the requirement. Final Visual & DFT Check and offering to Client / TPI.
Documentation:- Preparation of different types of documentation, inspection formats. Preparation of final dossier as per the projects specification. Documentation control certificates & technical data as required by the customer such as NDT Reports, Final Inspection Reports, Calibration Records, and Welder Performance Certificates etc. Review of Final Dossiers prior to acceptance of the product.
Cary out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.
Perform the Fit-up / welding inspections, visual & dimensional inspection.
Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports.
Report to the QA/QC Manager, control, and monitor all activities related to Quality.
Monitoring and verification of daily welding visual inspection and verify weld production report and ensure compliance to NDT requirements.
Monitor welding parameters for example checking for volts and amperes, traveling speed etc on a random basis while the welding job is in progress.
