Ashurst Law Firm LLP KSA
Total years of experience :35 years, 2 Months
My work at this law firm includes mainly translation between Arabic and English of legal documents, agreements, laws & regulations, memoranda, and all other legal documents. In addition, I am responsible for national and international correspondence, customer relations, administration, office management, etc.
Mitsubishi Electric Saudi Limited was established back in 1980 and has been in the field of elevator and escalator supply, installation, and maintenance for the past 30 years, being the leader company in elevator industry in KSA. I joined the company in 2004 in the position of “Translator” responsible for the following tasks:
• Preparation of sales bilingual contracts, quotations, as well as national and international correspondence.
• Review of non-standard contracts in Arabic and English prior to contract signing.
• Preparation of legal documents to be submitted to courts when the company has a legal dispute with a client.
• In 2009 I was promoted to Admin Section Manager at the company’s head office in Riyadh.
• In August 2011 I was promoted to my current position of Senior Manager - Customer Relations Group at the company’s head office in Riyadh.
This company is mainly an operation and maintenance contracting establishment. It runs various lines of business and all of its clients are governmental agencies. During my tenure of service with this company, my work responsibilities included translation of tender documents, technical and non-technical reports, booklets, bulletins, catalogs, and national and international business correspondence.
The company’s main line of business is data surveying covering all types of data sources (books, book articles, magazine articles, PhD dissertations, unpublished materials, documentary and feature cinematic films, periodicals, etc) in economic, social, political, cultural, literary, and religious fields. Data is collected and survey studies are conducted for governmental and non-governmental agencies (clients). All the company’s work is done in a thoroughly computerized environment. My job was to prepare abstracts out of all above cited data sources and those abstracts are then entered as data base in the computer system for processing. Following that, data is printed out for me to proofread before it is finally delivered to the client. I was leading a team of 5 colleagues in my department. One of the projects the company conducted back in 1988 was for King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, Riyadh, KSA, was a survey study in English language covering two aspects of data surveying one of which is the relationship between the three major religions: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. The other aspect of the project is the Arab-Israeli struggle. The study is meant for research students and has become part of the data base of King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, Riyadh, KSA.
