Reporting directly to the CIO, I was given the overall direction of the department Portfolio Management; overseeing the program portfolios, budgets, resources and risks. Direct engagement and oversight in major strategic & operational initiatives. Represent IT in Hospital’s Operations Committee to coordinate with Area Facilities. Responsible for providing guidance and coaching to project and department unit managers.
Achievements:
• Strategic Planning Management:
1. Successfully developed and documented strategic planning management system helping the hospital and its departments get aligned with the corporate strategic plan 2020 and creating synergy.
2. Developed hospital Strategy Map resulting in linking objectives toward defined strategic themes and reach strategic results utilizing the cause and effect tool.
3. Created a process to create Balanced Scorecard and its components for the hospital and IT department to track and monitor the performance of objectives and their measures and KPIs.
4. Created the balanced scorecard deployment plan and training program to for managers.
5. Effectively designed a cascading mechanism linking IT strategy to the hospital’s strategy and resulted in 100% IT alignment with the hospital strategy with shared vision.

• Project Portfolio Management: Integrated customized Project Portfolio Management processes with the hospital’s Balanced Scorecard resulting in 100 % alignment of initiatives with the overall corporate strategy.
• Healthcare Solutions: Successfully led the implementation of major transformational initiatives including:
1. Cerner Millennium phase II Implementation
2. Implementation of Patient Accounting.
3. PACS implementation and installation and its interface with Cerner; PACS Centralization

• Business Systems:
1. Handled the full project lifecycle of the Oracle suite implementation for 4, 000 users.
2. Led the interface implementation of Oracle and Cerner with real-time HL7 connections.
• Renovation and Operations: planned all IT deliverables’ planning of major renovation projects between 2010-2012, in coordination with the Operations Division and Area Facilities (Engineering Dept.), for the following services:
1. Emergency and Angiography Units.
2. Inpatient and Outpatient Clinics.
• Infrastructure:
1. Handled the deployment and rollout of the hospital’s Data Center in coordination with Area Facilities and the vendor. Participated in the planning and implementation of the hospital’s VOIP project.
2. Planned all IT deliverables to shift 400 users to a Temporarily Administration Building to allow the start of building the proposed new Al Ain Hospital.
3. Represented IT in SEHA Corporate Infrastructure Committee to plan and implement ITIL program/management initiatives for the hospital’s IT operations’ change management & business process reengineering efforts.
4. Designed & documented IT Service Catalog and SLA, as part of SEHA’s major Centralization initiative.

Worked on different projects and assignments with major clients to oversee business and IT functions integrations and alignment to develop business expertise and improve quality and responsiveness. Additionally, responsibilities included system and application development, business process improvement and development and quality assurance. Clients’ industries include Telecommunication (AT&T), Banking & Financial (Bank of New York Mellon), Education (Chicago Public Schools), Pharmaceutical (Walgreens) and Healthcare (Blue Cross Blue Shield)
Achievements:
• Health Insurance: Confirmed active Billing & Revenue projects in Blue Cross Blue Shield follow project management processes and methodologies resulting in 90 % reduction in project failures.
• Banking: Introduced a repeatable process for implementing refund and taxation projects; process was subsequently leveraged by 70% of all project implementations in the Bank of New York Mellon.
• Pharmaceutical: Installed and enforced best management practice of application testing, on-going maintenance and system enhancements for Walgreens to improved service delivery.
• Telecommunication: Installed a program to improve project intake and execution, workload allocation, career development and training of project managers for AT&T resulting considerable project success rate and ROI.
• Education: Directly managed a development team to automate all quality assurance cases of Chicago Public Schools systems; saved over 12, 000 US dollars a month.
As a consultant, I was designated to oversee clients’ IT functions including data center management, vendor relationships, system engineering and development, technical support, financial monitoring and disaster recovery planning. Systems supported include 2-tier and 3-tier applications. Oversee day-to-day activities with regard to schedule and quality. • Telecommunication: Consolidated over 120 Sprint projects down to 20 key initiatives and less than 80 ancillary
projects. Enabled IT leadership to proactively manage employee workload optimizes project resources, and greatly improves project completion rates.
• Sales & Retail: Transitioned American Greetings system development to employ reusable object oriented
programming modules for applications development slashing time-to-deliver by 50%.
• Power & Electricity: Altered DCSI-TWACS staffing model to include third shift operations increasing on-time
delivery of data to clients by 50%.
• Banking: Increased efficiency of Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago development group by 25% through matrix organizational structure that allowed for responsive shift of experts to meet user needs.

Hired to enhance and support 3-tier & 2-tier Claims applications used for Claims purposes operated on laptops remotely and developed against DB2 database.
Achievements:
• Developed Change Control Processes to assure all project participants would operate within the scope or
formally approve any scope changes.
• Provided support for Production, Development and QA environments the application operated on.
• Developed and designed specific functionalities to the application GUIs. Performed extensive debugging and testing as the system required.
• Worked with both internal applications developers and external clients in reproducing reported problems, debugged and modified SQL Server stored procedures, and provided unit & systems testing of all changes
Position: Software Test Engineer
Led and responsible for engineering quality assurance automation programs and scripts of a system used to track and document infrastructure components.
Achievements:
• Created automation test plans and wrote test scripts using Win Runner for network management application written in Visual C++ language.
• Integrated customized components to the application with COM API using Visual Basic 6.0 to simulate the additions of new functionalities.
• Developed Custom Property Pages, Custom Menus, extending the database.
