Reporting directly to the CIO, I was given the overall direction of the department Portfolio Management; overseeing the program portfolios, budgets, resources and risks. Direct engagement and oversight in major strategic & operational initiatives. Represent IT in Hospital’s Operations Committee to coordinate with Area Facilities. Responsible for providing guidance and coaching to project and department unit managers.
Achievements:
• Strategic Planning Management:
1. Successfully developed and documented strategic planning management system helping the hospital and its departments get aligned with the corporate strategic plan 2020 and creating synergy.
2. Developed hospital Strategy Map resulting in linking objectives toward defined strategic themes and reach strategic results utilizing the cause and effect tool.
3. Created a process to create Balanced Scorecard and its components for the hospital and IT department to track and monitor the performance of objectives and their measures and KPIs.
4. Created the balanced scorecard deployment plan and training program to for managers.
5. Effectively designed a cascading mechanism linking IT strategy to the hospital’s strategy and resulted in 100% IT alignment with the hospital strategy with shared vision.
6. Achieved performance evaluation grade of 4.1 out of 5 (exceeding expectations) for the year 2015.
• Project Portfolio Management: Integrated customized Project Portfolio Management processes with the hospital’s Balanced Scorecard resulting in 100 % alignment of initiatives with the overall corporate strategy.
• Healthcare Solutions: Successfully led the implementation of major transformational initiatives including:
1. Cerner Millennium phase II Implementation
2. Implementation of Patient Accounting.
3. PACS implementation and installation and its interface with Cerner; PACS Centralization
4. Supervised the planning to transition to HIMSS stage 7 in the EMR model

• Business Systems:
1. Handled the full project lifecycle of the Oracle suite implementation for 4, 000 users.

• Renovation and Operations: planned all IT deliverables’ planning of major renovation projects between 2010-2012, in coordination with the Operations Division and Area Facilities (Engineering Dept.), for the following services:

3. Represented IT in SEHA Corporate Infrastructure Committee to plan and implement ITIL program/management initiatives for the hospital’s IT operations’ change management & business process reengineering efforts.
