I oversee the administrative and academic operations in the division of nephrology in the internal medicine department and report directly to the division head.
I am also appointed in the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) where I am coordinating the projects of their JCI and AAHRPP certification in addition to overseeing the workflow and management process to maintain a smooth and systematic approach to IRB work.
I mainly worked on onducting secondary market analysis and research reviews, feasibility studies, and hospital assessments for affiliation purposes. In addition, I was in charge of the standardization of policies and procedures related to AUB Medical Center.
Throughout the period of my employment, I have also participated in additional activities and won the best cultural diversity slogan award in May 2013.
The Medical admunistration oversees all medical and administrative functions related to physicians, medical departments and paramedical departmnets and divisions. It also gears the hospital strategic plan and medical projects. As the head of the medical administration administrative division and the assistant of the medical director and chief of medical staff I have:
- Coordinated of appointment, re-appointment and follow up of Ain Wazein Hospital medical staff.
- Managed the administrative operations in the medical administration
- Followed up the activity and operation in medical departments
- Followed up and managing the progress of the medical administration projects
- Developed and presented statistical and economical reports related to the medical administration and medical departments.
- Followed up on the adequate implementation of Medical Administration, Medical Services and Credentialing medicals accreditation standards
- Reviewed and edited existing and new policies and procedures
- Followed up on the adequate implementation of Quality management system in the medical administration departments as per Accreditation and ISO standards.
- Developed, maintained and followed up the Quality Improvement Plan and Key Performance indicators in the medical administration and medical departments
- Overseen the activity of all medical committees as per accreditation standards
- Participated in the development and implementation of the medical administration and medical departments’ strategic plan and budget
- Organized, run and followed up on medical board meetings
- Planned and led Evaluation of professional Practice (EPP) program
- Managed and coordinated medical congresses organization
As a Certified Internal Quality Auditor at Ain Wazein Hospital, I have led the audit team to develop the internal audit questions, carry out the internal audit on the assigned process/department,
formulate the audit report and the improvement action recommendations. I have also followed up on the implementation of the improvement action plan with the audited process/es or department.
Furthermore, I have been awarded the Internal audit distinguished award for the years of 2010 and 2011.
I mainly worked on: Maintenance of Quality Management System in conformance with accreditation and ISO standards; Policies and Procedures formulation, review and update; internal quality audit; processing and management of customer suggestions and complaints; follow up occupational health and safety committee work; I have also worked on various projects such as formulation and implementation of disaster plan; risk management plan, patient education and communication program, electronic policies and procedures system and others; I have also been staff trainer and educator on quality principles and performance improvement topics in addition to other topics requested by staff development (communication, leadership, managerial skills..); I was a member of the taskforce working for ISO and accreditation preparations and follow up.
I worked in the Health Behaviour and education resource unit when i was still an undergraduate student. I was mainly assigned to complete various library work, data entry and office work in addotion to helping students find references.

The program provided us with the solid basis of the principles of healthcare management, performance improvement, project management, strategic management in addition to a good exposure to epidemiology and biostatistics, public health and community health and health promotion. it basically equipped us with the right approach and critical thinking for managing various aspects of a healthcare organization. I have been granted 3 graduate assistantship (GA) over all three eligible semesters of the program in recognition of my academic excellence. I have graduated from the program with a GPA of 86.75/100
I have graduated from the BS program in Medical Laboratory Technology with distinction as i was on the Dean's honor list for almost all semesters. The program exposed me to a wide and rich knowledge in the medical and healthcare diagnostics and management fields. It provided me the strong basis and reference when i decided to persue my post graduate studies in healthcare management.
