All divisions across the UK over £1, 000, 000 Net Growth

Business Development/Hospitality Manager at Prime Group
  • United Kingdom
  • July 2012 to November 2014

After working a short period with ASA recruitment I was asked to head up a new hospitality division for Prime Group under the sub company Black and Black, I was to build a completely new reputation and bring on new business from scratch. After the first month I had bought on many clients through Hotels and serviced apartment complexes. One of the larger achievements was becoming a supplier for Hilton hotels nationally after a successful tender lead by myself. I was supplying both temporary staffing and permanent recruitment solutions. My ability to build rapport at both low and high corporate level gave me a big advantage with bringing on new clients big and small. After successfully proving my sales and business development ability I was asked to build other departments including industrial and driving in the absence of the devision director.
As the role of business development manager I was tasked with increasing business across Industrial and construction, shortly aftert this I was soley responsible for building the Social, Care and housing desk after the departure of the Branch Manager for Black and Black. From here I picked up many new duties to successfully run this side of the business from start to finish. The business was successful doubled in profitability and in some months almost tripled. This was due to bringing on a variety of new clients and increasing our national tenders to companies such as BUPA and Four Seasons.
The hospitality, Social Care and housing grew to approximately £1.4 million Net. Black and Black is now a leader in its industry it holds a great reputation for a quality service across Scotland.

Recruitment Consultant at ASA Recruitmen
  • United Kingdom
  • March 2012 to July 2012

My experience in the hospitality sector saw me fit to enter recruitment in this very industry. My position was to supply temporary and permanent hospitality recruitment solutions to the west of Scotland. This envolved Hotel resorts, restaurants, catering units and care homes.
•My duties included maintainting the already busy desk with the Glasgow City Council contract. This including such tasks as staffing City Halls, Concert Halls and City Chambers. Staffing the World Pipe Band Championships also the Glasgow Show.
•I was to meet weekly target of hitting the correct volume of calls, the correct number of weekly client visits and also hitting the finiancial criteria.
•The on call mobile meant I was also to work every other weekend but essentially dealing with client contingency needs
On my arrival the hospitality desk was already busy making between £1900 and £2500 a week. I was to help build this through my stepped targets. I hit all my stepped targets to date and the desk on departure was sat at £4200 per week. I had single handedly won many large, and built a great reputation in the Glasgow market

Business Consultant at T-Mobile
  • United Kingdom
  • September 2011 to March 2012

I applied to T-Mobile in the business department as it gave me both the experience with working directly with businesses whilst also retaining the sales targets and motivation. The business department is required to deal with thousands of businesses across the UK from all sizes and industries.
•My duties included establishing the needs of clients quickly and efficiently whether technical issues or service, if needed liaising with the appropriate manufacturers or suppliers
•I would be required to assess the client needs and possible expansion to be able to sell the appropriate handsets and products that T-Mobile provide, throughout learning all new product specifications.
The position itself is target driven through multiple selling channels and the service I provide. I would gain commission from all handsets sold and a bonus every quarter depending on my sales performance against service.

Overseas Representative at Thomas Cook Cyprus
  • United Kingdom
  • February 2010 to April 2011

Successfully hit every sales target for every season in every resort. Each season the profit target was set higher. (sales sheets available on interview)
As well as sales targets I was set customer service targets, in which I was to gain a high percentage of customers to be overly pleased with my service during there vacation.
Working over several European countries to provide service to thousands of customers I was the ‘face' of Thomas Cook
My roles included the duty of care for over 500 people daily, through the sub company's Airtours and Direct.
Other duties included Health and safety Audits of hotels and transport vehicles providing feedback and improvement plans to the 3rd party companies.
I played a key role when dealing with major events such as the Icelandic Volcano in which I was required to find a solution to sustain control of all our customers in hotels and provide them again with a duty of care; other events were the French and Spanish air strikes.
Whilst working overseas using my initiative and problem solving whilst giving a great customer relation is important, also being able to learn languages fast to communicate with suppliers and hoteliers.

Co-Coordinator at Cape PLC Shetland Sullom Voe
  • June 2009 to January 2010

After a short spell of Trainee Manager, the opportunity arose to become Contracts Coordinator for BP Sullom Voe (The largest Oil Terminal in Europe)
The contract is worth over £10, 000, 000 and my duties were extensive, dealing with the client directly (BP)
Coordinating between the project managers, Contract manager and General Manager; my role was to keep the contract sustained, this meant making sure all paper work was followed up and signed for i.e. every man, tanker and equipment hired.
Coordinating all equipment on and off site with the sites strict regulations in mind at all times and keeping the financial control with Purchase Order raising to head office and charging to the client.
