• Review Project drawings and apply contract codes, standards and specification.
• Accompanying the client representative to carryout routine inspection and release hold points by signing and obtaining the client representative approval signature on the various Quality and Test record as proof of inspection confirming to specification.
• Coordinate with other discipline Quality control inspectors for ensuring that all other discipline activities that require inspection within the Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecommunication construction program have been inspected and approved.
• Responsible for conducting surveillance and inspection duties for work defined herein and efficient recording and reporting of the results as required.
• Responsible for evaluating all Non-Conformities reported within the group, ensuring their correct specification and the effectiveness of corrective and preventive action implemented.
• Issuing of punch list, NCR (Non-conformance report) & site observation as per site requirement.
• Ensure that the approved Project Quality Plan is implemented on the project.
• Review design drawings and other technical documents to ensure compliance with applicable contract
requirements.
• Advise, assist and monitor the development and execution of the contractor's quality plan and processes to ensure compliance with applicable provincial regulations and engineering codes.
• Resolve daily Quality Assurance (QA) issues as they arise and report issues to Supervision / Management as required.
• Verify via physical inspections, assessments, witness of Contractor and Subcontractor inspections / activities and by reviewing / initiating documented objective evidence that confirms the E & I installations are completed in accordance with approved IFC documents, Project Quality and Test Plans, industry best practices, work methods and quality documentation records are in place.
• Receipt inspection of materials to ensure compliance with purchase order and specification requirements and ensure material has proper storage requirements identified, assist warehouse personnel in completion of OS&D damage reports, review and approval of documentation submitted from suppliers and subcontractors during receipt inspection activities.
• Coordination of inspection activities and issue of requests for inspection on a timely basis.
• Conduct monitoring inspections for conformance to project P&ID’s, IFC drawings and specifications for the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls work carried out by Contractor and Subcontractor internal QC efforts.
• Work closely across diverse disciplines including project managers, purchasing, engineering, operations, maintenance and contractors.
• Promote quality awareness, continuous improvement to influence the overall success of the operation.
• Coordinate with concerns in order to resolve Quality Control related problems on Site.
• Ensure the Implementation of Quality Management System according to requirements of ISO 9001:2008 at project.
• Elaborate and organize the Electrical & Instrumentation specifications, codes and standards.
• Contribute in development, implementation and review of PQPs, ITPs, Procedures, work Instructions, Check lists, Quality records, method statements, Vendor's Quality submittals, loop packages etc. for compliance with good work practices and the company’s contract obligations.
• Assist the QA/QC manager in the organization, maintenance and control of the quality system and in resolving any discrepancies and ambiguities.
• Ensure all work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken and after inspection review all reports for compliance. Ensure that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are current status.
• Conduct Material Inspections to ensure conformity in accordance with contractual requirements and find out acceptance or rejection of P.O. Item during / after inspection and issue an Inspection Report.
• Witnessed Visual & Dimensional, Functional Testing for Process control equipments (Panels, Instruments etc.), Electrical equipments (Switchgear, MCC, Lighting and Small power DBs etc.).
• Perform needed tests on site and in the laboratory to ensure conformity of material and works according to the contract specifications.
• Issue NCRs on identification of nonconformities and Monitor the effectiveness of Corrective actions.
• Ensure necessary actions are taken to avoid recurrence, including expediting any corrective actions and the close out of the NCR’s.
• Coordinate with the Company representative as well as Contractor QC inspectors for the resolution of site problems and to ensure that communications exist and are maintained.
• Liaise between the Company and Contractor Engineering, Site construction & Pre-commissioning Teams (including Vendors) and provide assistance when requested.
• Responsible to verify that company procedures and process are being implemented in accordance with the Project Quality Program.
• Generate RFIs where required providing sufficient notice for Hold, Witness and other Inspection levels and Coordinate with client representatives to ensure that inspections are carried out expediently.
• Inspect vendor documentation to ensure compliance with the Inspection & Test Plan and purchase orders.
• Inspect the product quality to establish if the client requirements are being achieved.
• Perform a variety of inspection functions as identified in the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Inspect installed equipment and ensure equipment and materials are ready for construction, maintenance and operations.
• React to the daily inspection needs and provide expertise in the inspection of a wide array of equipments and installations.
• Carry out final inspections to ensure compliance with the Project requirements. Record and document any and all deviations from the Project Quality Program and Specifications.
• Maintain good record keeping of activities carried out and inspection reports, surveillance reports, etc.
• Review the calibration status of test equipments being utilized on the project ensuring the equipment is within calibration prior to use.
• Work with Construction Supervisors, Schedulers, Planners and Project QA regarding development and implementation of QA plans for E & I.
• Assist the QA/QC engineers in preparation of the final handing over documents such as O&M documents, testing and commissioning reports etc.
• Ensures that Safety Policies and Procedures are applied diligently to all E & I works, including by other
discipline.
• Responsible for Implementation, maintaining and following Quality Control standards, procedures, plans, strategies and systems on the project for providing more efficient onsite construction work.
• Prepare / develop and review QA/QC procedures, ITPs etc. to sustain effective QA/QC system on the project and to assure adequate quality verifications are identified.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of a schedule of planned audits, and to ensure the results of the analysis including recommendations for improvement to top management during the management review meetings. Perform quality audits on systems, suppliers and projects to initiate corrective, preventive and continual improvement actions where required.
• Responsible for guidance, verification, inspection and testing to ensure that all Electrical & Instrumentation construction works are carried out in accordance with AFC drawings, Specifications, International Standards, applicable regulations and approved ITPs.
• Provides support to the QA/QC Personnel in making sure that quality risks are correctly assessed, identified and managed for all project management procedures that require high quality project delivery and execution.
• Ensure all required inspection & testing is completed and recorded in a timely manner upon completion of each phase of construction activities.
• Well versant with International Industry Codes & Standards (NEC, NFPA 70, IEC, ISA, IEEE, NEMA, API, BS, ANSI, etc), Specifications related to Intrinsically Safe systems and Electrical systems for Instrumentation.
• Manage QC inspectors to ensure that work carried out on site is in accordance to the latest approved documents e.g. Drawings, method statement, PQP, Procedures and to ensure diligent performance. And also establish close communication and teamwork with other disciplines to ensure overall project successful completion.

• Carry out supervision for mounting of field junction boxes, different type of field instruments at ground level, on structural plate forms, vessels etc.
• Responsible for installation of power & control cables at field instruments, J.B’s and marshalling cabinets including laying (A/G & U/G), glanding & termination, insulation & continuity test.
• Provide supervision for installation and leak/pressure testing of Air piping/tubing, impulse hook up.
• Perform calibration of transmitter (Level, pressure, flow), switches and pressure indicators using test equipment such as HART and HONEYWELL SFC Communicator, Pneumatic Hand pump, Portable Druck calibrator and Hydraulic Pump depending upon the range of the transmitters.
• Assigned in bench and field calibration of diff. kinds of valve either modulating or on-off valve (solenoid type) of diff.types of manufacturer using some test equipment like Hart communicator in a digital Valve Controller powered by a control system output card, Current Injector/Loop Calibrator and portable 24 V DC supply in case of solenoid type at same time checking their respective limit switches based on its set points and percent dead band.
• Generate or carry out Instrument Loop Function Checking (ILFC) prior to initial start-up of the plan.
• Perform functional & Interpret logic instructions, reconstitute temporary test point for loop testing, Querying DCS logic points, Forcing ESD output, & monitoring tables.
• Coordinate with different vendors and Control System Group & other various discipline to ensure proper workflow.
• Assigned in the Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Team.
• Having sound knowledge about instrument & electrical drawings i.e. P &ID, plot plan, layouts (cables, air line, tray etc), wiring details, ILD’s, Data sheets, hook ups etc.
• Reads and interprets wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and specifications in making installations or performing major repair work.
