Company Overview:
Astra Food Company (“AFC”) was incorporated as a limited liability company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1992, however the business units were found in the 70’s by Mr. Sabih Al-Masri. The company was managed Arab Supply & Trading Co. until 2012 when a decision has been taken to spinoff the management function and hire a team of professionals to pursue the company further.
Farms Branch: primarily located in the North Western region of the Kingdom, and engaged in production of fruits, vegetables, flowers, poultry, animal production, food processing as well as transportation to support AFC as along with third party sales.

Duties:
1. Responsible for managing and integrating the following integral functions: Warehousing (8, 000 sqm), Transportation (80+ vehicles), Materials Planning, Carton & Polystyrene Factory, Packing house (grading and packaging operations).
2. Build the new supply chain team and gradually introduce and integrate within Astra Farms existing functions.
3. Develop and manage the SC operations and Capex budget.
4. Work with the Quality Assurance team to build the SC function SOPs.
5. Responsible for building and achieving the KPIs targets for the departments.
6. Work closely with the sales and production team to properly organize daily dispatches to assure products availability within the kingdom.
7. Establish proper communication channels between all departments (production, sales, purchasing and quality) and raise timely alerts when variations occur. (S&OP meetings)
8. Build a strategy to develop and improve end-to-end business supply chain processes including planning, flow of materials & overall logistics.
9. Work on building intercompany Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to define business units’ interaction with the SC function.
10. Ensure inventory efficient management (capacity mapping, value, non-moving and slow moving items.)
11. Effectively lead cross-functional root causes analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve customer-related shipping issues.
12. Update and develop process streamline opportunities and eliminate non-value added activities to minimize financial bleeding.
13. Participates in preparing studies and research initiatives relevant to logistics operations, which may help in developing/enhancing the overall performance.
14. Define daily/weekly/monthly reports to be submitted to the General Manager.

9. Negotiate and confirm prices and scope of work required from suppliers/contractors
10. Managed the planning, budgeting and implementation of special projects (ex: organic farming)
11. Follow up with different departments/ stakeholders for proper project implementation
12. Ensure proper warehousing management of company stock and assets (Amman, Wadi Rum and Aqaba 3PL warehouses)
13. Plan and manage operational processes for onsite events (at Wadi Rum)
14. Supervise the integrity of systems (Microsoft XP ERP, EPM)

4. Recruit and train team members on the SOP’s and WMS (30 team members)
5. Implement procedures and manage the daily operations
6. Analyze and improve the process through corrective action plans




 RA Sport Project (adidas, Levis, Timberland):
1. Plan & deliver solutions for existing operational functions
2. Create SOP’s for each operational function and KPI’s structuring
3. Design operational workflow and identify each function within the structure
4. Facility racks/shelves layout design (orientation)
5. Participated in the CCTV and firefighting orientation solutions
6. Bids management and evaluate suppliers and contracts

 Unilever Mashreq Egypt Project:

1. Prepared a feasibility study for operational functions which included Supply Chain solution to cut cost.
2. Managed the warehousing and logistics function for the products distribution within Egypt.
3. Provided warehouses layout design
4. Started implementing the suggested operational solutions
