Started as Principal Reservoir Engineer on the Kraken heavy oil field, working closely within an integrated team to develop the current generation dynamic model of the field, which for the first time achieved a well-by-well watercut and pressure match. The model remains in use to support reserves position and has been further used to screen for infill opportunities that are currently being progressed. Since the start of 2021, transitioned into Principal RE / Team Lead for EnQuest’s Bressay heavy oil development. In the process of finalising our suite of subsurface models that capture the uncertainty of this complex field across a range of development options.

Delivered a fully history matched simulation model including further development wells to maximise economic recovery to 2040 for a field in West Africa within a seven-week period. Delivered a subsurface basis of design document to aid an efficient decommissioning for a series of fields in the UK North Sea. Delivered pressure transient analysis for a series of gas fields in Trinidad, utilising both analytical and numerical models. Provided integrated simulation model and development advice for an offshore oil field development in Trinidad.

Ensure effective stewardship of assets in the UK on behalf of the UK Government to maximise economic recovery at all stages of field life from Concept Select to Cessation of Production.

Implement industry best practices to maximise value from UK fields by collaborating with senior leaders. Increase economic recovery during production phase of a field while addressing all economic options prior to cessation of production. Lead multiple policy shaping initiatives for ensuring effective management of petroleum licences. Play a leading role representing the OGA in the Production Efficiency Task Force, which has supported the oil and gas industry increase operational efficiency in the UK from 60% to 75%. Deliver exceptional support to multi-disciplinary teams in managing exploration and appraisal activities to minimise uncertainties ahead of transitioning to field development.

Played a significant role as reservoir engineering manager in the UK for delivering 70, 000 boed net production to the group.

Conducted detailed UKNL reserves review, planned large-scale bi-annual budgets, and managed monthly forecasting processes. Applied cost-effective techniques to decrease operational cost and improve capital efficiency. Fostered and strengthened relations with government agencies to expand business operations. Provided expert opinion and technical assistance to engineers to reduce subsurface knowledge gap regarding production, development, and commercial opportunities. Headed and mentored a team of eight reservoir engineers to accomplish assigned tasks within agreed timelines.

Lead a talented, multi-national reservoir engineering team that delivered value adding opportunities including workovers, infill wells and water flood pattern optimisation. Held accountable for all aspects of reservoir engineering including reserves booking. Delivered quarterly updates to Qatar Petroleum.

Senior Reservoir Engineer focused on growth through the acquisition of producing and development assets. Led the technical and economic evaluation of a strategic acquisition opportunity, presenting these to the Board of the company and achieving approval for a successful bid on a package of assets.

Led a number of high-impact projects from inception to completion across a number of assets within budgetary and time constraints.

Lead and supported the successful completion of over a dozen mandates on asset transactions for international clients across several geographic locations including the UK, Ecuador, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and Trinidad.
