• Responsible for the Delivery of the patient care through the nursing process of assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating.
• Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for all patients admitted in the ward based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
• Collaborates with the other personnel to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery for the achievement of desired patient outcome.

• Check availability of medicines including its expiration date and request for additional stocks.
• Administer prescribed oral and parenteral medications.
• Monitor and regulate IV fluids.
• Coordinates with midwives regarding medication that requires monitoring of vital signs before and after administration.
• Observe patients for any untoward reaction to medication given and provides appropriate interventions.
• Document all medications given in the medication sheet.

Canceling discontinued medicines
Transcribing newly ordered medicines
• Requests and prepares home medications of patients for discharge.
• Instruct patients and or significant others with the administration of home medications.
