Reporting to the Group CEO, I worked as the Chief Executive Officer of the two UAE based subsidiaries of KCL, namely:
• Industrial Chemicals & Resins Co. LLC, Jebel Ali Industrial Area, Dubai; and
•Nimir Specialty Chemical FZE (Now, Knightsbridge Chemicals FZE) Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah.
The job required typical functions of the CEO of any petro-chemical manufacturing business company e.g. preparation & seeking approvals of the business plans from the Board and ensure achieving the business targets, oversee Finance & Accounts functions, emphasize R&D and QA functions, efficient plant operations, HR developments, maintain business ethics and integrity, ensure adherence to EHS requirements, etc. Main achievements being
• Achieved the best ever business results for the company for the first year, and even kept it very much in black during the global economic recession of 2009.
