As a geophysicist, responsibilities include; 2D/3D&4D seismic interpretation for client awarded reservoir simulation studies to incorporate it in structural modeling, reservoir property modeling and volumetric estimation to assess the reserves potential and the field development plans.
Seismic interpretation include; well to seismic tie, synthetic seismogram, faults and horizon interpretation, application of different volumetric seismic attributes to enhance structural and stratigraphic interpretation.
Responsible for the 3D/4D seismic attributes analysis for reservoirs property modeling, time to depth conversion, structural framework modeling for static modeling.
Also, responsible to construct discrete fracture model (DFN) for naturally fractured carbonates and reservoirs by using 3D seismic and image log data to construct dual porosity model for simulation purpose. Applied edge detection attribute analysis to extract fractures from 3D seismic data to build comprehensive 3D DFN model.
Providing input to improve seismic data quality either 2D/3D by analysing seismic data processing or data acquisition quality and parameters issues. Responsible for the identification of the areas where additional 2D/3D seismic data acquisition would benefit the client to reduce geological uncertainties in cost effective manner.
Responsible to prepare documentation, presentations and workshops related to seismic interpretation, static modeling and reserves volumes and its presentation to client.
Completed mega 3D/4D Reservoir Simulation Study project for client (AGOCO LIBYA) for Messala oil field in Sirte Basin Libya. Interpreted Cretaceous Sands and Basement for structural cum stratigraphic interpretation on 3D and 4D seismic data covering about 2000 sq.km. Interpreted 3D/4D Constrained Sparse Spike Inversion data set to analyze the reservoir rock properties distribution such as porosity and water saturation in conjunction with different wavelet attributes to support the results from inversion. Proposed and planned infill and deviation wells for field development and production recovery.
Completed several reservoir simulation study projects in Weatherford as reservoir geophysicist to carry out detailed geophysical evaluation, interpretation, mapping, time-to-depth conversion, geo-seismic structural cross-section, seismic attributes analysis (inclusive of seismic inversion and time-lapse data).
Performed reservoir simulation studies by addressing regional geology, structural style, reservoir architecture & heterogeneity and hydrocarbon distribution in order to accurately prepare the field appraisal, development well planning, near-field resource maturation and subsequently formulate optimum field development plan & full-field review and produce the documentations.
Extensively worked for tight carbonates reservoirs with secondary porosity by developing fracture network modeling from 3D seismic, FMI and local geological knowledge.
Overall acting as bridge to reservoir engineers, production geologists for optimization of field development planning.
