Senior IT Project Manager at Qatar National Broadband Network

I am reporting to the Director, IT Systems & Applications. My responsibilities include the following:

• Responsible to develop IT systems, strategy and budget plan.
• RFP formulation for new solution.
• Vendor and Technology evaluation.
• Business case development for identified and planed projects for Project Tender Committee approval.
• Responsible for projects planning, execution and monitoring as per agreed deliverables.
• Contracts management with regards to Payments / SLAs / Warranties and Support for IT systems.
• Monitor vendors SLAs and KPIs.

Functional Support: ERP ORACLE EBS R12 (Financials & SCM)

Qnbn has implemented ORACLE EBS R12 Financials and SCM modules for its daily operations. I am handed over the additional responsibility related to ERP which are as follows:

o Manage and support in the daily functional issues of the Oracle ERP.
o SCM function support for all issues raised end users and by procurement department related to the ERP.
o Inventory management for coding and categories for the BOQs of the blanket framework agreement and POs.
o Perform HR related operation such as managing data of Employees, organization, departments, positions/jobs and organization/position hierarchies.

Project: Building Management System
BMS is a centralized solution for real time monitoring of Qnbn distributed locations. The solution enhances the capabilities of the NOC team for monitoring all the activities and taking actions accordingly from a centralized location. IT is responsible for ensuring all the NOC teams are properly captured and implemented in the implemented solution.

Project: Business/Operations Support Systems
Qnbn was in the process of implementing a complete new Business and Operational Support Systems stack. A requirements gathering exercise was conducted to finalize the scope for the RFP. Numerous vendors and technologies were evaluated for the implementation purposes. Several detailed sessions were conducted for finalizing the end-to-end Lead to Cash processes. Gaps were identified and the existing manual processes were redesigned.

Mobilink implemented new Siebel CRM replacing the legacy system. The new system is eTOM compliant and thus meats the industry best practices and standards. The project was worth USD 50 million. I worked on the implementation of the new CRM system integration with VAS platforms. The implementation scope also included the CRM integration with the middleware and further with the network elements.

Project: Campaign Management System
Campaign management system was an initiative of the marketing team. With the intense competition a quick and reliable solution was required to run the daily campaigns, capture the response of each campaign and analyze the offer take-ups. Multiple broadcasting channels were integrated for the solution. Further the solution was directly integrated with the CRM thus giving the customer care representative a single window for the daily operations.
