Job Description

First three years, I worked as a KTP associate on a knowledge transfer project between the University of West of Scotland and the FIDO tech. I was a part of the R&D department at FIDO Tech and I have been involved in the development of several water leak pinpointing solutions. I joined FIDO Tech after completing my KTP project. My 3 years KTP project resulted in the following outcomes.

Outcomes
The following are the achievements from the project:

FIDO Cloud Correlation (FCC) an innovative correlator was developed for accurate water leak pinpointing.

In addition, the project resulted in the development of two additional products known as Top Sounding and Dig Direction.

Awarded Commendation award for Outstanding Research Project of the Year at The Herald Higher Education Awards 2023

Finalist for The Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards in Making an Environmental Difference category, 2024

The project has been showcased at COP28 conference by the Vice Chancellor of the University,

FIDO Cloud Correlation (FCC) launched at World Water-Tech North America Conference 2021.

A conference paper on FCC presented at Water Loss Conference on 19 - 22, June 2022.

BBC news documentary on FCC was broadcasted on 17/12/2022.

Review article “Review on condition monitoring techniques for water pipelines” published in Measurement Journal with Impact Factor 5.131 dated April 2022.

White paper titled “Seven good reasons leak location is best done in the cloud” published on 4 Oct 2021.



After completing my 3 year project, I continued working with FIDO Tech as a Data scientist and currently working.

Job Description
I am a member of a dynamic Research and development team dedicated to designing and developing innovative solutions for water leak detection and localization. My role encompasses various responsibilities, including acoustic testing, solution development, and acting as a bridge between cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities

Assess project needs and requirements through a literature review.

Plan and conduct experiments to collect necessary data.

Analyse data, design, and develop the backend software.

Collaborate with team members to embed knowledge to develop frontend.

Design test methods and supervise On-Site data collection.

Collect feedback from leakage engineers for continuous improvement.
