Provide guidance, assistance and advice to client business lines, through interpretation of Company HSE practices and
procedures in relation to current legislation and regulations.
* Develop and implement Health, Safety and Environmental plan and strategies aimed at improving the HSE
performance/profile.
* Provide leadership and direction to clients to ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations and fulfilled
adherence to statutory norms.
* Develop and deliver a monitoring schedule including tours, inspections and audits of site and welfare facilities (where
applicable) which includes a Health and Safety Management System audit of the contractor completed within the
first 6 weeks following mobilization.
* Analyzing and evaluating complex data to identify and implement key improvements to working practices and
procedures to maximize return on investment without compromising quality.
* Develop & ensure the competency of personnel in the identification and control of hazards & risks on location by
actively developing a competency framework including the training matrix and engaging, influencing and persuade all
operational and support functions to deliver an integrated, pragmatic approach to safety.
* Ensure company HSE policies and procedures are implemented consistently and effectively, and are known and
understood by all clients.
* Lead weekly Health and Safety inspections, workshops and meetings as required plus raise and verify close out of
actions identified.
* Chair weekly Health and Safety meetings with contractor’s Health and Safety and management teams
Multiple Projects
Reporting to the GM of Construction division, oversee the HSE Management System for Dubai and Abu Dhabi projects with 20
direct reports, 2500 employees, AED 1 Billion operations budget and up to 9 projects concurrently (e.g. Dubai Heights Academy,
Bloom School Campus, Art Centre, Mall, Al Mamzar hotel, Al Fardan towers, Roda tower, MOBH town houses, MOBH staff
accommodation, central yard)
Duties & Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of HSE professionals by delegating the responsibilities and authority to HSE, security,
medics, and administration staff in order to effectively implement the HSEMS and approved safety programs.
* Develop, mentor & ensure the competency of on-site safety champions for the identification and control of hazards &
risks by actively engaging, influencing and persuade all operational and support functions to deliver an integrated,
pragmatic approach to safety.
* Work with all levels of management and staff to introduce a focus on behavioural based coaching and mentoring
leading to recognisably improved safety cultures while promoting a safe and excellent working environment that is
aligned to working practices.
* Define, develop and maintain the HSE Management System, and create and implement the internal audit system in
line with AD (OSHAD), OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards across the business; ensure HSE management system
regulatory compliance and certification.
* Provided strategic and technical advice to company stakeholders to ensure they are kept abreast of developing trends
and assist them to innovate and improve their teams overall safety performance. Pro-actively promote the
development and implementation of HSE strategy and plans to improve HSE performance in the business.
* Conduct site safety reviews, guidance, assistance and advice to ‘Grass Roots’ level employees through interpretation
of safety practices and procedures in relation to client requirements.
* Continually identify and assess threats/hazards that pose a risk to the operation of the organisation, whilst advising
on mitigation measures at strategic, tactical and operational levels.
* Administration and implementation of the project specific HSE plans, providing technical input for the revisions to
meet changing circumstances throughout all projects phases
Project AMMROC - Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Centre, Project Value 1.4 Billion AED. Overview of the
project - Construction of HQ Building, Transmission test facility, HAZMAT facility, Construction of 6 hangars, MBU, GSE, GRE, 8
sub stations with a primary substation and taxiway which will be connected to Al Ain international airport.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Drive continuous improvement and operational effectiveness of SHE / Risk programs, procedures and tools to ensure
compliance with regulatory requirements, effective utilisation of company best practices, and enhanced productivity.
* Responsible for developing and implementing the management system, documenting and communicating H&S
management system policies, directives and programmes including but not limited to hazard/risk assessments,
incident reporting and investigations, metrics collection & reporting and monitoring compliance to all group policies.
* Develop the strategic, tactical, and technical skills of personnel, drive and support comprehensive programs for the
continuous improvement of Safety that are KPI led, proactive, data based, and prioritised according to risk
assessment and incident reduction potential.
* Carry out safety audits, safety inspections on the work sites, follow up, regular review and close out of Audit
recommendations & inspection reports.
* Provide coaching and training to management on their roles and responsibilities and on the efficient implementation
of a robust H&S program across the organization.
* Investigation of accidents, near miss incidents to find out immediate causes & root causes, follow up on corrective
& preventive actions and other recommendations of the investigation report
YAS Shopping Mall, Client - AL-DAR (Abu Dhabi, YAS Island). Project Value - 2.04 Billion AED. Overview of the project -
Supply and installation of YAS Shopping Mall main construction works.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Responsible for applying and sustaining the Abu Dhabi Municipality Codes and Standards and implementing the
Project HSE Plan on Site.
* Offering management services that ensure Fire/Safety Procedures are being performed at all places.
* Accountable for ensuring that: Work site and the facilities shall meet the terms with all environmental and health and
safety requirements arising from the suggestions and conclusions of an environmental impact assessment of the
project (As the YAS shopping mall has 2 Pearl Ratings)
Pearl Qatar Client, UDC, Project Value - 475 Million USD, Consultant - Dar Al Handshah. Overview of the project -
Construction and Design of Qanat Qaurtier, 31 La Plage Villas and Bahriya Precincts
Duties & Responsibilities
* Responsible for provides training services to support the elements of the HSE Management System. Includes training
related to Occupational Safety, Emergency Services, Health, Environment, and Risk.
* Imparting training need analysis for employees and contractors related to HSE Policy and Procedures.
* Developing, implementing and conducting appropriate training programs to support identified needs
Nuayyim ASL Crude Increment Facilities (100 MBCD), Gas Oil Separation plant (GOSP Client - Saudi Aramco
Overview of the project: Construction of Gas Oil Separation plant, which includes construction of Pipe Racks, Electrical Cable
Racks, Digital Control Building, Plant Switch Gear Building, lifting and installation of LPPT, HPPT, WOSP Vessels, Suction Drums,
Compressors, Crude Booster / Shipper Pumps, Water Injection Pumps, Flare Knockout Drum, Flare Stack, Fire Fighting Tanks,
etc.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Executed and sustained the Saudi Aramco construction safety manual, loss prevention programme and applicable GIs
(General Instructions) on work site.
* Conducted safety inspections throughout the project and advised the management to take prompt correct action.
* Ensured that, Work site and the facilities shall fulfill all environmental and health and safety requirements arising
from the recommendations and conclusions of an environmental impact assessment of the project.
