At Saint Gobain Glass India Ltd.: • Essayed a stellar role in the: o Minimization of crushing of glass by 45 minutes, whenever the product change was needed
o Attainment of highest dispatch since the day it was acquired into Saint Gobain Group by motivating, coordinating the team for Jhagadia Unit
o Commissioning and heat-up of 1000 TPD, float glass plant of Saint Gobain Glass at Belgium
• Efficaciously worked towards the stabilization and culture for the Saint Gobain Glass, Jhagadia, Gujarat
• Proactively imparted training to the teams to follow the working culture of Saint Gobain within 3 months to give the results
• Received Best Production Manager Award for highest yield in 2007
• Spearheaded the production of 850 tons per day for Float Glass at Sriperumbudur
At H & R Johnson India Ltd.: • Single-handedly managed entire gamut of operations for 3 departments with a total manpower of 300 members at different levels in Kunigal, Pen and Thane
• Meticulously contributed in the: o Development of indigenous product and INR. 1.5 Crores savings per annum for Karaikal Unit
o Introduction of Frit for Kunigal plant which led to 75% cost reduction of the material
o Implementation of SAP PP module in coordination with Core Team; imparted training the people at the shop floor level to use the software effectively for Kunigal Unit and served as Power User-
• Shouldered the responsibility of handling the project to manufacture the frits required for the plant by installations of smelters and successful operations (it made the plant self-dependent)
• Pivotal in attaining inventory reduction from 8 crores to 1.5 crores through vendor development (by discussing the quality of parameters to make import of important raw materials and products to zero, thereby localizing the requirements)
• Holds the credit of providing technical solutions for glaze related problems, this was the problem that made the quality to zero levels and plant was not able to produce beyond 30% premium quality tiles, thereby ramped-up the production levels to 85%
• Augmented the quality of production to 85% from over 70%, by changing and designing the punches to avoid the watermark which was a great relief for quality at Kunigal Plant
• Successfully reduced the imports to nil by developing materials locally by interaction with suppliers for Kunigal Unit
• Facilitated the process of Conversionof Kunigal unit from Wall Tile Plant to Fast Firing Floor Tile Unit; attained plant to produce 85% premium quality tiles through developing designs and combination well accepted by the market
